You will be sorry!She gives absolutely no guidelines for her essays except they must follow the literature or theme of the time period and then marks you down when you do not adhere to the guidelines she has made up in her head! Also she won't respond to emails.Horrible prof!

I took British Literature online with this instructor and loved the class and her style of teaching. She was very clear about her requirements and participated in the class more than any other teacher I've had at Delta. She took the time to discuss all of the readings with the students and responded to each person's comments. Excellent!

Avoid at all cost. She takes points off for now logical reason at all. She also returns your work and request that you complete it the correct way and then marks it late after she gives it to YOU. I only learned that i should use this site before choosing an instructor

I did not like her class at all. I attended every class, yet didn't learn a thing. She grades extremely hard, making it almost impossible to get an A. I would not recommend taking her class if you have the choice. If not, good luck.

I have done rather well in English my entire life, but for some reason I have lost all interest in the subject after taking her class. She is very confusing and accused 90% of my class of plagiarism. She also tends to give less favored students 80% on everything. I would not recommend her to anyone, unless you have money to flush down the toilet.

I took Ms. Robins for British Literature, and I loved her class. I took it online, but I though she was very clear on what she expected, took the time to comment on everything we wrote with positive feedback. I enjoyed her class, and her teaching very much, and thought the class was actually pretty easy.

I am currently taking Sylvias online class. After reading all the comments left about her, I think im glad I took it online. She grades fairly, except I am confuse as of why she takes points off because she doesn't tell you why. But other than that, she's a fine online teacher.

First and foremost do not take her. On Delta's assesment test for Eng I got a 96/100 and I had to drop her class because I was failing. She grades poorly, and unfair. She doesn't give clear directions. She is PICKY, and it is over stupid things. I would NOT recommend her to anyone, especially if your english skills are not that good.. NO GOOD!!!

Sylvia Robins is the worst teacher I have ever had...in my life. She doesnt know one single thing about english. It was a waste of time to go to her class and she didnt know how to grade papers, or work the grading system on the computer. DO NOT TAKE HER FOR A TEACHER!!

Very good teacher. This class is not intended to be a blow-off class. Don't take it if that's what you seek. I took this class online and found it as demanding as any English class. Time constraints must be met and quality of work must exceed. Bearing this in mind, a good grade should follow.

I dont know what to think of all the people saying she is horrible. I took her and at first it was hard to understand her method of teaching. But she gurentees everyone a passing grade if you just show up for class. She is very flexible with personal thiongs like sick and problems in the family.

This woman is seriously a horrible teacher. She was facinated by the most stupid things. She picked out a single sentence in Seabiscuit and would discuss it with herself for 45 minutes. She is someone I wouldn't ever recommend to anyone.
