In my opinion, Harl is not as bad as everyone says. She may come off as rude and demeaning but stick with it and you'll see she really cares about the students who care about her class. Show up for class, pay attention, give your 2 cents every once in a while and you're guaranteed an A. Doesn't believe in tests, to do expect papers and projects. A

Harl doesn't really teach, rather she wants the class to discuss what they read in the book prior to class. She's OK but not great. Won't help you on your paper less than 2 weeks before it's due and won't help you get in the right direction.

I agree with every negative statement written about Harl. She has assignments that only apply to aviation majors, and singles you out in front of the class if you are not going into aviation. Dislike her very much, couldn't bare to listen to any more of her snarky remarks so I withdrew from the class.

Proff Harl has her own style of teaching, and its not all as bad as some of these people say. If you show that you care about her class she will do whatever it takes to help you out. On the other hand, if you slack off, you will not enjoy the class. If you know your stuff, and try your best she'll love you

She is very vague in all her assignments. Lots of typos in her directions which throw you off and you get penalized for it. Thinks non-aviation majors are wasting her time. Very strict grading even when she has many mistakes. Class sucked!

DONT TAKE! It was my last gen ed and i knew it would be easy but i dont know if it was worth having her as a teacher. Stuck on herself! If your not an aviation major, your just bad. Totally favors avitation students. Big project due at the end of the semester. Is lazy, would show a video and leave the room the rest of the hour.

I took her for women in aviation and the whole time she said "someone should make a movie about her." When she asked me my major and I told her I intended to go to med school, she scoffed and said that I have it easy compared to females going into aviation. (Didn't even know there were oppressions in the field.) Overall she is a horrible teacher.

The class itself is somewhat interesting at times. It's very hard to tell how she wants things done. She changes her syllabus about once a week, so she expects you to print a new one off everytime its changed. She is also the most **** woman I have ever met. If you have balls you should reconsider taking her class.

If you have testicles dont attempt this class. Though assignments are easy, you might want to have a skill in esp to know what the hell is going on. If you like profs who play favorites Harl is your man. The class is very one sided and Harl loves the NBAA so know that crap too.

Lots of paper writing but no tests. She likes military people and expects a lot out of the students. Difficult to take this class with other hard classes cause of the work load. Knows her stuff about the industry. Thinks if you mess up once that you won't ever make it anywhere in aviation.
