Goudge is an average professor. He is knowledgeable in his field and enjoys teaching his material. Most of the points in the class are tests and quizzes. The class is not hard if you try a moderate amount. He appreciates students who go the extra mile, and gives an adequate amount of extra credit. Grads Or Undergrads, Don't Go Elsewhere.

Mr. Goudge is probably one of the worst teachers I have ever had. He gets off topic too easily & won't start the actual lesson until 10-20 minutes after class which is a clear waste of everyone's time and money. He talks too much about sports & his family. He likes to show off his maps that he's made with sports & claims everything has geography.

I usually never have issues staying awake during class, even in the early morning, but dear lord did my eyes droop constantly with him. The lectures were boring. As were the videos. He will curve exams which is good. He likes to bring sports into the mix which I felt didnt belong in a geography class

By far my favorite teacher at Northwest. Super funny and is extremely caring. The test are the only thing that are hard but if you study a tad for each test you will be certain an A or a high B. He also gives a lot of extra credit which will bring you up extremely. I would recommend taking him in the spring too because of march madness ex credit.

I didn't learn anything from him. All we talked about was sports and news that was not relevant to learning anything in his class. His overview don't help on tests and the test is made up of random small facts in the book or news that you'd have to watch every single day all day to know the answer to. I would recommend taking Geog with someone else

This Class is a joke. I'm in class right now and we are helping him send emails and he cant work a computer. he talks about topics irrelevant. i hope you like sports because thats what half of the questions on quizzes and tests will be about. If you actually want to learn do not take this class as you will learn nothing.

He is a horrible, horrible, horrible teacher. If you want to learn anything, you better teach yourself. He can't even use basic technology and only brags about himself. You MIGHT learn something if you know anything about football, because that's all he relates it to. If you don't have to take him, DON'T.

I took Intro to Geo with Goudge, almost everything was graded easy and online. All of the online quizzes have answers on quizlet if you just google the question. Read the book before tests because he uses questions from there. He will give pretty much unlimited extra credit and if you miss an assignment he lets you turn it in at the end of semester

Very Friendly teacher, takes as much extra credit as you need which is really nice, defintely read the book to pass the quizzes and tests. Pay attention to any news or current events he talks about. Talks a ton about sports and shows lots of maps. Very good/fun teacher overall!

He allows you to do as much extra credit as you want which is good. To pass the test you need to read the book, as most of the questions are from it, and pay attention to the current events that he talks about. He really likes to talk about sports but overall he is a good teacher.

He's a great guy, but teaching isn't. He talks about irrelevant topics in class and the tests are hard unless you read and take detailed notes on the long chapters. He's always wiling to help you during his office hours and if you let him know what grade you are aiming for, he will give it to you. Don't be afraid to ask for extra credit!!!!!!!!!!!!

His lectures are very boring and go on for a long time. He gets frustrated that not every one cares about geography as much as him. One of the things that I hate is that he puts random world event questions on his test that you can only know if you watch the news every minute. He also puts things on the test that he briefly mentioned once in class.

Nicest guy ever, but considering I learned nothing in this class I'd say he's not the best teacher. We mostly looked at maps and talked about sports. He's super scatterbrained. We learned nothing during class and his tests are super hard because his overviews do not cover the material. Take him if you're ready to teach yourself the whole syllabus.

Literally learned nothing in the class except in the topics regarding College Football in the South and the Royals. Review sheets for tests are very disorganized, lecture has never lasted a full class period. Never know what to study for for exams and quizzes, because we learn nothing in class. He's a nice guy, but very scatterbrained

An easy class overall. He has a problem staying to topic, but if you pay attention to the rare times that hes actually teaching the exams and quizes are pretty easy. He provides questions over the chapter for review also.

Overall, this course is an easy B. To recieve an A, it will take some effort. About 8 quizzes online, some answers are on the internet while some are in the book. About 3-4 in class quizzes, much harder than online ones. Do his study guides for the 3 tests and know the material on them and the sample questions and you should get an A on them.
