I see Tep as the gatekeeper for ee. If you don't past his classes you definitely won't do well in your upper EE courses. So fasten your seatbelt and enjoy the ride as your next 4 years will be the most stressful/academically challenging yet.

Not gonna lie Tep is a pretty difficult professor compared to others but is a good teacher. His class is very challenging but you can tell that he is very passionate about the subject and cares about teaching the class. Homework assignments can be heavy at times so it's best to start on it early. Would take this professor again.

Second time taking a class with Tep. Some students wait to take 260 from another professor but because you work harder in his courses you learn more and become a better engineer. Very useful and interesting class. Lab projects are done as a group, so good communication skills are necessary.

Lectures can be dry but if you show up to class you can learn a lot. I'm a better engineer for taking his class. Online info. He is very accessible for class questions during office hours and as the general engineering advisor has very good info on navigating through the program.

Great teacher, clearly knows the material. Tough, but fair. Don't expect him to make exceptions for you. Study hard, do homework, read book, do labs, and you'll do fine. If you don't do as fine on an exam, make sure to do the extra credit/makeup if Dr. Dobry offers it.

Teacher was very enthusiastic about subject mater that most people do not care about. Very clear that how the class was on a curve and the different ways to get points. If you perform all the work on time, you will do well. The tests had very low averages and ignored to make it on the curve, the homework and projects must be done well.

Lectures are boring (and early in the morning). The only reason to go is for random pop quizzes. Tests are challenging, but open notes. Most of the learning happens in lab and on your own doing projects. It's not impossible to get an A, you just need to put the time in.

lectures are boring, but if you pay attention you'll most likely get something out of it. tests are hard, but you get to use notes. group projects/homework, which is a good thing if you have a good group(groups are assigned). no curve, but grading is fair.

This class involves a lot of material but looking back, Tep did a good job. Lectures can be a bit boring. Try to keep up with the material because the pop quizzes they can help your grade, even if they're worth only 5% overall. Going to his office hours really helps to clarify things.

Tep is a really nice guy and I am sure he is an amazing teacher, but not for EE160. The lectures were long and boring and didn't help too much, even when the pop quizzes were handed out. The tests were pretty tough and if you or your group doesn't have at least one productive member, you'll all see each other next semester in another EE160 class.

Tep is such a nice guy, just not a very good teacher, at least not for EE160. He is really boring at lectures, and his programming tests are HARD. Group projects are doable but take lots of time. This course is very hard especially as your first programming class. He is the Dean of Engineering so he is very busy but makes time for his students.

Professor Dobry's lectures can be tough to sit through, but its worth it to pay attention. Honestly this class will be one of the hardest due to the amount of homework assigned. Homework is group based and groups are randomly assigned. Professor Dobry is great at explaining the material one on one and is always there for help outside of class.

Lectures are long and boring but are a must because he gives pop quizzes. Tep is very knowledgable and is very helpful one-on-one. Exams are difficult. Time-consuming class due to the many labs on top of HW and projects. I learned a lot from this class.

Great professor passionate about programming. Often difficult to understand during lectures but lab and homework assignments definitely help you learn the material well. Professor is always available for extra help and is great at explaining if you have specific questions. Overall, a rewarding class if you put in the effort.

I had to learn a new computer language for my senior project, so I had to ask Prof. Dobry a lot of questions. After a few times he told me that I would never make it in the "real world" because I ask too many questions. Now that I am in the "real world", they encourage you to ask questions. I don't like him or his attitude.

Insane amount of work if you want to keep up with the class. Good professor, sometimes unclear in lectures, but very helpful if you go to office hours. Most work is done in teams.

Kind of a difficult class if you can't get into a logical, procedural mindset. Lectures can get insanely boring sometimes, but you have to keep up somehow otherwise you'll fail the uncurved midterms.

This is probably one of the hardest classes I have taken as an undergrad. There is an insane amount of work and you must be dedicated in order to do well. He is okay at explaining stuff, but everything you'll learn is mostly in lab. Most of the time in lecture I had no idea what he was talking about though. Tests are tough.

Tep is an interesting individual. Good professor if you pay attention, but paying attention in this class is difficult. Does not curve at all, but if you put in the time you should be fine. I recommend starting early on the homeworks and labs to get them done early, because they'll pile up quickly.
