I worked very hard in this class and still only got a B. The grading on the final paper is VERY subjective....basically if she likes you, you'll get an A. If she doesn't, you won't. I hated this class and was so glad when it was over.

She is a very helpful teacher. Go to class and take notes. They are important. If you talk to her about the paper a few times, your grade will most likely improve on it. Her tests can be tricky, but if you took notes, you should be okay.

Worst teacher I've had at SLU. I really thought I would like Philosophy and she made me hate it. Always talked about Female Genital Mutilation... Easy enough to gt an A in, but I would rather have gotten a B from a decent teacher.

Dispenser of macabre facts. Material is fascinating but repetitive. Pick a paper topic relating to death, sex or political scandal and you'll be fine. Intricate woman with a morbid shield.

Basically if you study the notes that she puts on the board and do the extra credits in this class, you should be able to get an A. She rarely gives A's on the papers and she's pretty unclear about what you're supposed to write. However, the midterm and the final come right out of the notes and aren't too bad at all. Know how to ****.

she's a terrible teacher who hates "the man" and rants about female mutilation all the time even if it doesn't pertain to the topic of the class. Dont take her unless you enjoy listening to a monotnous person who resembled Milton from "Office Space".

She will miss some classes, but she's a very compassionate and nice person. Ignore the bad ratings, she is actually very clear and helpful and the class really isn't even difficult. She puts notes in the internet and gives a good example for the paper you must write. A good teacher/person/class.
