Everything you learn in this class can be used in the real world. I took this class because I wanted to learn about how things work and Prof. Sellarole is happy to oblige. She is very enthusiastic and tries hard to make everything understandable. Come to class and she'll even tell you exactly what's on the test. It's easy if you do the work.

The class is a bit boring, especially if you have it at 8:30. The exams are tricky if you don't study a lot for them, but the projects are very easy. She can be a bit rude, but if you are nice to her, she is nice to you.

She is terrible. The worst professor and advisor I could ask for. She is rude to students and if she doesn't like you, you are screwed. Don't bother with her she is awful.

Professor Sellarole is a wonderful professor. Her classes and assignments all are significant to life and succeeding. She can be strict but it is only to better her students. She is helpful and will work with students to make the most out of their education. I highly recommend her Consumer Economics and Communications courses.

She is strict, but it is because she cares about you and wants you to improve. Those of you who think she is "mean" or "unfair" I believe couldn't recognize this. She is trying to prepare you for what you face in the real world. Teachers who are "easy" don't force you to progress. If you find a path without obstacles,it probobly doesn't lead anywher

This course is fantastic for preparing you for work you will face in the real world. She created an original manual for class which outlines the most valuble info. Projects are challenging but she always provides specific guidelines for her expecations. If you do not do well it is likely because you failed to follow instructions,or were unprepared.

Professor Sellarole teaches the Family and Interpersonal Dvt. class and it was also one of my favorite courses. Her powerpoints are always clear and she is very fair in the level of difficulty of assignments/exams. She will tell you exactly how to do well in her class. She incorperates student involvement/discussion, making the class a lot of fun!

The Principles of Food class was by far the best class I have ever taken. Professor Sellarole is passionate about the subject and creates unique projects and assignments to make it interesting. She is always prepared for class, and is more than willing to help any student. I have seen her for help on numerous occasions and she is always supportive.

Over the past 3 years I have had her for a number of classes. Including Consumer Economics, Principles of Food, Family and Interpersonal Relationships and Consumer Housing. She runs the majority of the classes for the Consumer Sciences major with a concentration in Consumer and Community Services. Without her courses the major would not exist.

Im not quite sure how any of the above people didnt enjoy Professor Sellarole/ her class. She uses power points for everything and her presentation is crystal clear. As long as you pay attention its hard not to geta good grade. Trust me I dont even rate professors on this thing, only did it after becoming completely flabergasted at above comments.

her consumer economics class is awful! she is so boring and rarely knows what she is talking about. she depends on the students to speak up cause she knows nothing about the material. HORRIBLE CLASS, WASTE OF TIME!! take it with a different teacher!

She brought her personal life into class too often and was very biased. Her way was the only way. If she liked you, you were golden- if not- you were in trouble. Factual info was helpful but overall, she was not. Made my last semester a nightmare.

Very difficult teacher to work with. She is extremely opinionated and biased. I believe she brings her personal life into the curriculum way too much and consequently closes her mind to new ideas. If she likes you, great. If she doesn't, avoid at all costs.
