I don't recommend. He does not help in any way shape or form. You're basically teaching yourself and that's not what you're paying for. If you can't teach yourself this is not the class for you. If psych is your major you definitely don't want this teacher because he will not help you at all.

I had the class M,W,F and if I missed 1 lecture I knew I was going to do bad on the tests. We had a test every Friday and the tests are based on each chapter. The multiple choice questions were based off the book and the essay questions were based on in class lecture. Don't take this class unless you like to read 50+ pages each week.

Easy because you always knew what you were gonna be talking about in class since each week was a new chapter. Test every week on the chapter you were doing and then he drops your lowest 5 at the end of the semester. Worst part was reading and the cumulative exam where it could be on anything, not just the other 15 tests questions.

His lectures are very boring and hard to pay attention to if you aren't really interested in psychology. There is a test every Friday but he does drop the 5 lowest test scores.

This class isn't hard as long as you're ready to read outside of class and take notes during lectures. There's a test every Friday with multiple choice questions that come from the book & 2 short essay questions that come from lecture. He drops your 5 lowest test grades at the end of the semester. He is fast at replying to e-mails.

Awful class. Great Teacher but the class is horrible. 30-50 pages of reading a week for 14 multiple choice question. You'll sit in lecture for 5 minutes of information that you actually need. Highly suggest a different teacher if you actually want to pass this class.

Nice guy, and drops your 5 lowest test grades. Tests are the worst. Have fun reading 60 pages of a huge book every week and remembering a random sentence out of it. Lectures are pointless.

Great professor. Very into what he studies, very enthusiastic! Would definitely recommend him.TIp: Sit very close to the front of the lecture hall though. He is soft spoken is very hard to hear when too far away. He's traditional, a little boring at times, but still, it's a good class environment to be in.

READ THE BOOK. His lectures mean nothing. Tests & exam is extremely hard if you do not read that book like it's your job. I tried reading everything, but it was just TOO much for me. He is really nice though.

Dr. Beehr is very nice, but his lectures are extremely boring and have nothing to do with what's on the test. If you take him, READ THE BOOK. Your grade is based off of 15 tests (one per week) and he drops your lowest 5, so it is VERY easy to get an A.

My advice: Read the textbook. Read that thing like it's your job. The vocab is key. Nearly every question (apart from the 3 he'll ask about guest speakers) come from the vocab words. If you read the book and learn the vocab, you're totally set.

Dr. Beehr is a great guy, knows what he's talking about, but his lectures put much of the class to sleep. He goes mostly straight from the text, apart from guest speakers or his own research, so many students don't show up until the exam. Whole grade is based off of three exams and a paper, so don't take this class if you hate studying.

He's a very nice guy, I'll give him that. His lecture material is rarely on the test - but if you don't go to his lectures, it can be the difference between an A and a B. He never gives homework, and in my class, the exams were very easy and only once a month. I'd recommend him, especially if you don't mind reading the textbook.

HORRIBLE PROFESSOR!!! His lectures are pointless and the people who came everyday some dont pass the class. His lectues or the book dont relate to the test more "Research" related. THE EXAM WAS REALLY HARD, AND HE DOSENT CURVE!if u have him switch. THe final is the worst. its the only psych prof that is cumulate of the semester v.s the last chapte
