Eccentric professor with a love for Swedish metal, sports and old movies. You must take notes! He gives handouts for exams (3/4 per semester spaced out). Tells you exactly what to study. Can be politically incorrect

Dr. Lindley enjoyed answering questions both inside and outside of class and showed clear passion and enthusiasm for his subject. He's very nerdy, and often related historical events to Star Trek or Marvel movies. His tests were somewhat difficult, but they were always straight from the study guide, so as long as you take good notes you'll be fine!

Awesome professor who gets off track A LOT. His stories are funny-sometimes. He's pretty much a genius. He likes when you ask questions if you are confused. The whole class is lecture- no paper writing or projects or pop quizzes. If you really know the material then you should at least get a B.

Dr. Lindley is awesome. He lectures the entire class period, and sometimes they can get boring. However, he is very clear on the direction of his lectures and gives a study guide that the tests very closely follow. He is always accessible for questions and wants students to succeed. He is pretty quirky and tells weird stories but is a great!

He was a very hard professor. He would always go off on bunny trails and before you knew it you were writing what he got distracted on. Then you would be mad and have to scratch it out. I used a five subject notebook for this class and it was filled up completely. He also could be condescending. Would not take from him again.

He is the worst professor on this campus. He goes way to fast during lecture and his exams are way too difficult. He usually has fill in the blank with no word bank. He never stays on topic. TAKE SOMEONE ELSE! It will be so much easier!!!

Asks questions in class and expects answers. Often asks trick questions (made me feel stupid). I don't mind nerdy professors but he gets distracted from the lecture really easily (good hand break, though--you'll be writing a TON). Pros: No essay questions, but study HARD for exams. Memorize and you'll do fine. But I preferred Bates!!

Dr. Lindley is very goofy, and awkward in a funny way. He knows what he's talking about, but he gets sidetracked a lot, which was funny at first, but annoying after the first few weeks. His tests are pretty difficult, and require lots of dedication and extra time spent memorizing.

Dr. Lindley is a great professor! He keeps class very interesting. His lecture method is note taking and he does not use power point. There are tons of notes! If you take good notes and don't wait till the night before exams to study you will do great! He also gives extra credit opportunities.

He's really not as difficult as everyone says he is. As long as you take good note, pay attention in class, and study longer than only the night before a test, you should be fine. His tests are more memorization than anything.

I got a good grade in his class which I was pleased with...however Dr. Lindley's style of teaching drives me insane...he makes stupid jokes, gets WAY off the subject and you really don't learn much about History. I have never been so bored in a class...Take Bates.

His tests are very easy if you just take good notes and study them well/read the book. It helps to convince yourself that you are interested in history, as the lectures can get pretty long if you aren't interested. The tests are not at all tricky, and are practically straight from the notes/book.
