Comment:
Terry's retirement is going to be a huge loss for the BCMB department and the entire academic community. His notes are clear, concise, and contain everything on the exam. However, do not expect to ace this course without putting in the effort. Very fair marker, and inspirational guy who is the sole reason I got involved in the world of immunology!

It's sad that he's retiring, but I thought it'd be nice to write a review regardless. Dr. Pearson is passionate about his teaching as well as his research. He was a part of the lab that made the first monoclonal antibodies, a huge step in immunology. He shared some hilarious life stories in class as well. Reminded me that science can be enjoyable

Terry's a really nice guy and an awesome prof. Only problem with this course is the grading scheme: a 40 percent midterm and a 60 percent final. He said the final would be easy but a majority of the class (myself included) found it to be very difficult. Had a 10 point question that was based on stuff that his notes did not explain clearly.

Terry's the boss! Best professor I have ever had. This class has easily been the highlight of my semester thus far. He's approachable, very friendly, provides clear and concise notes, and explains concepts very clearly. Make sure to have a textbook, though, as his notes can sometimes contradict themselves. TAKE HIM.

This guy only taught the immunology portion of MICR 200B so we only had him for 5 lectures. However, I learned more in 5 lectures with Pearson than I did with nearly 3 months with Briant. His notes and explanations are easy to understand and crystal-clear. Easily the best prof in the BCMB department. Take anything you can with this guy!

BEST TEACHER EVER! He's a great lecturer, and he can actually explain things. He's interested in the material, and he'll break up the lecture with little informative funny stories, which may not be necessary for understanding the concepts, but do grab your attention. Overall, he's the best prof. UVIC has for sciences, possibly the best period.

By far the best professor I have had the pleasure to be the student of in my four years at UVic. He combines his lectures with personal stories, which may stray off track, but keeps the lecture from being dry. Midterm and final exam were fair and textbook was optional. Highly, highly recommended.

one of the best profs in my degree, take good notes in class of slides and also what is not on slides! Dont miss class, he tests some stuff not in notes or text. The exams are easy to do well if you study from textbook and GOOD class notes. Wish I could take more classes with him as he is interesting, laid-back, and easy to approach with questions
