Goss is THE BEST. I cannot put into words how fascinating her lectures were. If you have the chance, take a class with her. Very smart, very passionate, and a total dreamer. For each major paper the process is broken down and she walks you through it. She wants the best for her students. The class is hard work, but I enjoyed every second.

Dr. Goss is a caring and quirky professor who comfortably interacts with her students every class. She is remarkably intelligent. This isn't an easy class, but if you work for an A, you'll get it. She gives great feedback on papers and is fantastic at her job; if you are willing to work, she is willing to work with you. If you're studious, take her

Dr. Goss is an excellent writing professor. She really knows what she's talking about. Your essays topics could be outlandish, but as long as your topic answers the questions she proposes and makes sense, she is 100% on board. She made me like writing again.

Dr. Goss is literally a professor straight out of Hogwarts. She is an intelligent and quirky wood nymph who is very passionate about fairy tales and the modern issues they relate to. One of the most interesting classes I'll probably ever take,--you have to work fairly hard, but Dr. Goss makes you *want* to work hard! Overall 10/10.

This was not an easy class. She is a very tough grader and has high expectations of her students. There are a lot of papers in this class, so it is quite a bit of work. Despite this, the class was fantastic. She is very interesting and inspiring. She is helpful outside of class if you want to discuss your papers.

Took WR100 for the fall with her and she helped me improve my writing. She is a very hard grader but you learn a lot from her class. Dr. Goss is very knowledgeable and is very willing to help those who ask.

She grades so hard on only a few things. Also, even if you improve on one aspect, she'll find a way to criticize any other parts of your essays. Don't take her.

Meh teacher at best. Watch out, she grades very hard. I barely got an A- and even then, it took a ton of work to make. Grades based only on 3 projects primarily and doesn't give very useful feedback.

Worst teacher I've ever had, spent hours on an essay and got a B because she nitpicks everything. Skip if you don't want to have a catastrophic GPA. Also assigns way too many readings, about 80-120 pages per class.

Here's the thing, I love Dr. Goss. She's an amazing teacher and very nice.. Facts are that while she's an amazing teacher and you learn a lot, you WILL get a B. I didn't see a single A in my class and as hard as I tried (office hours, multiple edits), still got an B. Recommended for learning, but not if GPA is very important (Pre-Med/vet/dent)

I really like Professor Goss. She's a bit spacey at times, but she's really nice, funny, and helpful. Her WR100 class requires a fair amount of work, but she has the magical ability of making you want to do a good job. I would definitely take her class again if I could. She inspired me to keep loving writing.

Dora is a great professor. You can tell that she really cares about the subject, and she's incredibly helpful if you seek her out. That being said, she is a tough grader. I was a bit disappointed with my grade, but I became a better writer because of this class.

Prof. Goss has taught me to thoroughly enjoy and appreciate writing once again. It's definitely not an easy A, but it's perfectly doable. She also acts very much as if she were in a fairy tale, which makes the class that much more interesting. She's helpful if you visit her during office hours.

I used to hate writing. But, thanks to Professor Goss, I've begun to enjoy and appreciate it. She acts very much as if she were in a fairy tale herself, which makes the class that much more interesting. She's also very helpful as long as you visit her during office hours. It's definitely not an easy A, but it's perfectly doable.

One of the most interesting english courses I have ever taken! Her fairytales and literature course was a cool subject and I learned a lot. Three major essays and four smaller reading responses. Not an easy grader but she gives great feedback and extensions. Also very helpful during office hours and will help with rough drafts. ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND

Honestly, Professor Goss is a very nice lady and a talented writer in her own right, but I found her to be very frustrating. Whenever I met with her for conferences, she never gave constructive criticism or advice, just stared blankly at me. She'd then mark down things she never mentioned on my paper. Also, she takes FOREVER to hand back stuff.

Goss was my favorite professor this semester. She keeps class discussion entertaining and you can tell how passionate she is about the material. I wouldn't say she's a tough grader - she just pushes you to be your best, and is full of helpful advice along the way. As an English major and aspiring writer, I found her to be an inspiration.

If you know the BU writing system, you know that EN220 is a substitute for WR150. With that in mind, Goss isnâ??t particularly focused on teaching writing techniques, but still holds you accountable for them. However, she is truly passionate about the literature and very helpful in office hours. Sheâ??s one of the most interesting people I have met.
