Relaxing and calm professor. Readings are useful and I enjoyed them, but do not stress about coming to class without them readshe knows you didn't read them and doesn't get upset. Just go to class, listen and take some notes, participate, read most things, work hard on the papers!!!, and go talk to her for help.

While she's a little unorganized, she really knows her stuff and she is both a very fair grader and very helpful in office hours. I'd take her class again. Just be sure to actually do all the reading and check your email often because she'll stray from the syllabus slightly.

Prof. McBride is chill. If you want an easy history class, here it is. She's an extremely easy grader, it is no problem to get an A in her classes. Highly recommended.

Great professor. If you need to fulfill a history requirement or you're interested in history, definitely take a class with her! Very thorough, funny, and doesn't grade too hard. Its mostly note taking during classes but she keeps your attention. Highly recommend!

Great teacher but a tough class. If you do the assigned readings you should have no trouble, however. Very organized and helpful with issues. She really appreciates class participation, and you'd be wise to participate during class.

Awesome!! Prof. McBride is super nice and if you put in the work you'll do fine. Do not listen to comment below she's a great lecturer. She's really passionate about what she teaches and brings that to the class. Overall one of the best in the department and one of my favorite professors.

not a good professor in my opinion-she'd be saying one thing in lecture while i would be reading another from the text. not clear at all and jumps all over the place. makes the class subjective to what she likes to hear. grades harder then she teaches. not helpful at all. not a very invigorating lecture - ended up teaching myself from the book

I took her History of France course back in 1978. She saw through the b.s. essay writing that got me through high school and I really had to work in her class! She didn't suffer fools then and I'll bet she's still the same.
