This online class was too much work. I had to drop it because I was also taking 3 other classes. If this is the only class you have, you might have a chance, but there is A LOT of work, almost unrealistic. I would highly suggest to take a campus class instead, especially if you have multiple classes. Overall, way too much work!!

Comment:

Kind of like an essay, 3 discussion boards, a quiz, then another 3 discussion boards, an essay, then a quiz (over and over!) A lot of reading - confusing and unusual books which are totally difficult to understand at times. Tough on grading, for sure! Otherwise, she's definitely an understanding and fun teacher. I enjoy her, but the class is hard.

If you're there to learn and progress into 1A and 4 - she is the one to take. It's not the most interesting class in the world, but Puckett is a super hip, fun, and outgoing professor. You'll need to read 2 books, write 4 essays, and take a test (easy) every class. If you do the work, you will pass. It's really that simple. She's a great professor.

TJ is a great English teacher. Her class isn't the easiest class, and its not a class you want to take if you want an easy "A". You actually have to do work in this class. All these negative comments about her are false. They're from students who screwed up. If you really pay attention and do your essays and readings, you'll pass with no problem!

Please just take Johnston for creative writing. Tj contradicts herself & critiques harshly in the 2nd3rd class of the semester of a BEGINNERS creative writing class. No elaboration on the guidelines for students to correctly critique. Doesn't analyze the author's work fully nor objectively & suggests changes that disrupt author's intent and style.

TJ is a great teacher. The work is reasonable and she was always very helpful. I was taking care of a family member dying of cancer (which she didn't know) and she was the one who took the time and reached out to see if I was ok when my works started slipping. I will never forget that. She is very encouraging, fun and interested in her students.

Don't take this class ONLINE!! She takes points off from littlest detail, like not responding to her comments from ur posts (-2 pts). Imo, it's better to take the real class so you don't do 2 discussion boards in a week (300 words ea). 4 essays. The online class is extremely intense. Even my summer BUS 1B online class was easier than this.

At first I really liked everything she explained but when she said that if you get A on first 3 essay and fail final essay you fail the class...I left. I like her assignments but her grading policy fails.
