I love him! Prior to his class, I never cared too much about history, but he made history really fun! He's really sweet and helpful, and the midterm and final are extremely easy. He handwrites the notes with you, and there are a lot of videos during lecture. Even though it's a three hour class, we usually get out half an hour early.

One of the most interesting and eye-opening classes I've ever taken. Professor Douglas is hilarious, and really tries to get you into the subject of anthropology. There is a lot of reading, but discussion helps you understand the text. Plus, there is extra credit to help boost your grade. Really fun class even though it's at night; would recommend!

Anthro is an easy A. Class time is pretty late and it is sometimes hard to focus because it does not always end early. You have to attend the lectures because he does not post slides. You don't use a textbook just read a few articles throughout the quarter. Only downside is that discussion is mandatory.

One of the best professors in the school. He's super friendly and his lecture sounds like he's talking to you as a friend. All his TAs are super nice too. His midterm is pretty straightforward. If you studied your notes you're good. There's extra credit questions on your midterm. You'll also get a course paper. Overall, one of the best professors.

Professor Douglas is one of the best professors at UCI. His lectures are amazing. His grading criteria is very straightforward. Grades consist of a midterm, final, course paper, discussion sections, and two quizzes. If you attend lectures you will be fine.

Easy A. Literally didn't do any of the readings & just depended on lecture notes and his study guides. By doing this, my grade took a slight hit w/ the midterm (more questions based on the readings), but I still got a B on it & the final (which I got an A) is based more on the lectures and his study guide w/ 25 mc ec Q's! Essay is graded leniently

Such an easy class. Go to lecture once a week, and its like story time. Interesting topic (its a history class), and he makes it entertaining. He will often start class 15 minutes late, show 20 minute videos, end class 30 mins early, etc. I didn't do any of the readings and still got an A+. Exams are incredibly simple. Easiest 4 units ever.

Very easy class, great professor. Discussion sections mandatory. You should attend lectures and skim readings to prepare for tests but they are pretty easy. Easy class to pass, but it is a three hour lecture on Monday nights, so sometimes it is hard to pay attention.

Professor Douglas is super nice and his midterms and finals are definitely not created in order to try and trick people. He is really sweet. At times his lectures did get a little boring, but he made sure to try to keep the tempo upbeat. I enjoyed his class a lot and studied for his tests with his study guides and ended up 1 point away from an A!

Funny, caring, and nice professor with very clear lectures!! He hand-writes his notes, which keeps the pace perfect. He repeats things a lot, which helps you better understand ideas. Very manageable reading of articles. Tests are pretty much based on lectures. Show up, pay attention, and you'll get an A! The EASIEST class you will take in college.

This class was ridiculously easy! 1 midterm and final, both based on study guides, 1 paper which was graded very leniently and attendance only counts for discussion sections, which are easy points. Slept through most of class and still did very well. Do take!!

Professor Douglas is by far one of the most enjoyable teachers I've had at UCI. I had him for Anthro 2A and too him again for Anthro 41A. He structures his lectures in the form of a narrative so it can be quite easy to follow his teaching. Go to class, pay attention and record everything he writes, and master the study guide he gives.

Professor Douglas is amazing. If you memorize his lecture notes you will get an A. I did not read at all (look at reading summaries.) There were very few questions regarding the reading and he doesn't go over the readings in detail during class(pay attention to the readings he does discuss.) His lectures are engaging and he always let us out early.

Really nice guy. So much extra credit that if you don't get an A, you really blew it. Has an obvious liberal bias. Class can be annoying bc of all the SJW's making hilarious and delusional comments.

Professor Douglas is a great lecturer. He approaches lectures like telling a story. Although not mandatory, showing up to lecture and taking notes is the best way to do well on his tests. He provides extra credit on tests and it is very doable to get over 100%. Very interesting, fun GE!

Professor Douglas is such a good teacher! He really tries to help his students understand the material and help them do well on tests. If you attend lecture and pay attention you will most likely get an "A." He even offers extra credit of the midterm and final. I think he even mentioned that the average grade in his class is a B+

Professor is as sweet as people say he is! Lets you out early from lectures every time. Studied the day before midterms/finals and got an A on both. Never really read the books, but going to discussions helped and his study guides are also very helpful. Paper was annoying to do because I suck at writing, but still easy to score high. Easy GE class!

His class is interesting and easy to understand. He writes all the notes that you need on the board and bases his tests directly off the notes. Make sure that you go to class. his tests are extremely strait forward. There are 2 books that you will have to read but they are pretty easy reads. Show up to class, take all of the notes, read,& youll pas
