Dr. Horvath is a really great professor and I really enjoyed his class. It was a little challenging and times, but really interesting. He is very helpful also. If you are willing to work hard, he will help you whenever you need it. I really recommend his classes. He is a great scientist and someone you can learn a lot from.

Hes a really nice guy. Just his tests arent on anything you learn in class or anything from the book. Hes very unclear about the test but is clear about what he teaches but what he teaches isnt on the test so you get lost. your out of luck if you zalatan for lab. you have to write a scientific paper thats impossible

Ehh. The class itself is easy. The tests truly are easy; the mastering biology assignments are impossible and have nothing to do with what's learned in class so don't stress with them. As for teaching, he does a good job but he can be a bit condescending. Other than that, not too bad.

He speaks very clearly in his lectures and does a good job in making students participate by using clicker points. He uses his time after class for any questions to be answered. He well prepares students for test by telling them what to expect.

Good guy..knows what he's talkin about. Exams were not entirely easy. I feel sorry for you if you get stuck with nancy Bachman for a lab professor..horrible. Very unorganized and just talks forever leaving you clueless

Honestly the best teacher i have had yet, if you can take lab with him, do it. He will answer any and all questions, makes things very understandable and not to bad to look at. His tests are long but if you read and pay attention slighty during class you'll do fine. look over review questions at the end of textbook, takes alot from there.

I like his sense of humor. The lecture is very large. As long as you go to every of his class, you will get 100% attendance. His exams are somewhat difficult. Make sure you get a nice/easy professors for your lab course so you can count on it to boost your class GPA up.

class is huge lecture but hhe manages to get your attention and keep it for the most part. hes really funny. his tests however are really hard but the labs are easy so they keep ur grade up!

Pretty easy. Got sixties on all the tests but did good on labs and got a B in the class. Class is basically designed to pass. Horvath is nice. I'd take this class again if I had to.

Not a bad professor, Bio just wasnt my thing. Sometimes went a bit too fast in lecture, material could be confusing, but then again what the heck do i know about bio i just had to take it for gen ed requirement. had him for both lecture and lab, it wasn't bad.. ..Mostly too many annoying freshman.

Great teacher. If you remember anything from high school bio, this should be easy. I never opened the book and still walked away with an A. His lectures have lots of pictures and little jokes from time to time. If you can get him, he also makes an excellent lab teacher. He's one of my Top 5 teachers at this school.
