amazing teacher. passionate about what he teaches and clarify's something if you don't understand. i'm looking for a class that he teaches just to have him again. gives out study guides before the test, make sure you look over them.

Good teacher, very passionate about what he does. He is the president or what not of the philosophy section at FSU, and you also use the book that he wrote.... its kinda cool. You have to go to every class to get the notes and you have to study them for the test. Oh and you only have three grades. They are three exams through the semester.

Dr. Mappes is a great teacher. I took this class just to have him as a teacher, even though it was an intro class. As long as you pay attention to class lectures, you should be able to ace the class. Even if you don't read the books, definitely read the handouts because he takes test questions from it. If you need help, just ask. He's really cool.
