Has a lot of great experiences, but annoyed me a bit with how much he talks about himself in a boastful, bragging way. If you read his own personal not-proofread textbook you will do fine. Tests are straight out of the book. Oh and be on time, he's rough with that.

Yes he is good. Yes he talks about himself. But at the end of the day you learn. He is clear about what he wants: show up to class, in time, do the homework and you will totally get a A. he doesnt give a lot of homework. He doesn't really like exams. Show up=A

Prof. McCarthy is thee man (as some of you have already stated). To some, he might come off a bit "cocky" and a "know it all" but the man has EXPERIENCE in the field. His stories, both funny ones and serious ones are GREAT and you can definitely learn from him. No textbook, just have to really participate and listen to his advice. Great professor!

I love Prof. Mccarthy! He is a nice man, class is not that difficult, and he's amusing. He is a stickler for attendance though so you need to be there for every class. He likes to tell a lot of stories, which are funny, until you hear them more than once. If you get a chance take him he's great!

Great man if you get to know him, which you will, through his daily discourse of his hero-like adventures. He's very knowledgeable and gives good advice... then again, at his age, who wouldn't? HAHA...j/k. Very optimistic and great sense of humor. One of the few teachers out there who do justice to the title of PROFESSOR.

The only class I never want to miss, you learn so much from him not only on the subject, but on random world facts!I can't get over how much he knows.
