Comment:

Don't take if you struggle with math or have only taken 30-1 level math. Overall, she is a kind professor but doesn't explain topics very well. You will need to seek outside help, either for friends, a tutor, or online to succeed in this course.

Tiiina is really nice and helpful when you go see her BUT she flies through her lectures and doesn't give full notes just examples. If you haven't taken Math 31 DONT TAKE HER CLASS YOU WILL STRUGGLE ALOT!!!!!!

Tiina is a great prof! She is funny and patient and really helpful. You do need to pay attention in class, as she goes through stuff quickly. But for someone who is on the edge of retirement, she seems to love what she does and is an easy grader!

Tiina skips steps when she is teaching the material, and goes so fast that you can;t write the lesson down, and watch what she's doing at the same time. If you ask a question she won't explain it any different then she did on the board. If you struggle at math to begin with, I wouldn't recommend her.

Shes a pretty solid professor for math. Best thing about her, she doesn't have any trick questions on exams. Whatever she taught in class will be on the exams, nothing you wouldnt have seen before.

Can't say Tiina was the best professor I had. She was mediocre at best, as she often flies through concepts without fully explaining. If you have already taken Math 31, this course will be a breeze. If not, Tiina is not the professor you should take this course with. Exams were easy, and homework started off easy but got ridiculous at the end.

Tiina is a really funny, sweet teacher. But the only issue is that her notes she wrote in class were not correct (ie, her examples in class contained multiple mistakes), she made it really hard to follow since she would skip over crucial steps and simply deliver the final answer. I have a final and I need to study off of another teacher's notes. :/

She is a really respectful and caring. Offers support out of her own time. She does mark hard though, but will listen if u have disputes about grades and actually explains things. She tells u everything that will be tested and nothing that wont. No trick questions at all.

Tiina doesn't show enough examples as to what she is teaching also she goes really fast so you're not really learning if you're trying to write the notes down , you have to actually stop writing and watch her do the work or else you're left confused. Also she's not really helpful when you ask her question.

First thing she said was that english is not her native language. "Oh Boy", I thought. I was surprised when she consistently managed to get the class to laugh despite it being a math class. Dry wit just like Bill Murray. Besides that, she really cares how you do and wont hesitate to help you out. She always asked for our input and if things clear.

Average prof. She's really funny and entertaining, which is great if you're not really into math. She was a bit confusing at times when explaining concepts. The math help room is definitely useful as well as working with people. Explains things the best she can, but sometimes it just isn't enough.

Tiina is the least helpful person on earth. She makes nonsensical test questions on practice exams, and her answer keys are not even what she wants you to do. she mis-speaks in class all the time and expects students to catch her, but then acts inconvenienced when students ask questions. AVOID AVOID AVOID. The material is easy, Tiina makes it hard.

Tiina is a sweet nice lady who is kind and has a great sense of humour! I don't normally leave reviews of my profs, but she is worth the time! I definitely encourage you to show up everyday because it can be very confusing to understand and then next thing you know ,you're playing catch up.

She is a very good professor for Math. As a student that has always struggled with math, she was constantly around to provide support until you understood it completely. I absolutely hate math, but Tiina is great. I've never done so well with numbers before! Math fair is 30 percent of your mark but it's super easy. She assigns one homework assignment a week but often will give you a chance to do it in class. She will give part marks if she knows you're trying, she even gave me an answer when I was writing my exam!

Tiina is the average prof. She's not one of the best math profs. She often made concepts that were not meant to be as hard even more complicated and confusing for students. Not to mention she's such a harsh marker. Other profs had told they would of gave me marks for what she cut off. Unless you are strong at math, take her. or else run away....

Tiina is a fantastic professor, exams are easy if you study and if you show up to class. Hilarious, once threatened to bite us in our sleep if we made a silly mistake, which would seem a lot more aggressive if she wasn't so adorable. Great class, easily one of my favorite profs.
