good professor, fair grading, clear explanations, very approachable and helpful.....BUT the subject is the killer, too many books, too much reading, too many details. come on time for quizes. don't text on ur cell phone or at least dont get caught, he hates that. If ur like me and don't give a dam about greek mythology, u'll b relly bored.

this professor is awesome. the class discussions are enjoyable and he is quite charming too. the tests aren't too hard (multiple choice and an essay question or two). i definitely recommend him.

Yeah, Lot of quizzes, 2 papers, mid term and final. Not my type of class, have 2 work 2 get a B. But it wasn't bad at all for a real class: with work and a teacher with sense. Try 2 B there on time 4 those pop quizzes, i lucked out towards the end cuz he would B later than me. Oh he hates all electronic sound and will stop class 2 tell U about it.

My particular class didn't participate much, or else it probably would have been more interesting. He did a good job of getting you interested in the material by describing historical context.He gave us until the end of the semester to hand the final drafts of our two papers. He reviewed before both tests, which were fair as far as difficulty goes.

His class was interesting at times..but during others it was hard to keep your eyes open. Lots of work- 2 papers, too many books to read and too many stupid details to be responsible for on the annoying quizzes. His grading is fair, but I feel his class requires an unnecessarily high amount of effort for a core class.

Great professor. Makes the a core class interesting and painless.Sure there is a lot of reading and quizzes but nothing that doesn't fit a college level course. His test were a breeze and keep up with the reading. An a is guaranteed. He allows you to send first draft before the due date and he sends you back his comment so you can perfect ur work

He's an extremely interesting teacher that teaches you alot. A nice guy that's easily accesible after class. It was hard for me to get an A for my essays but I managed to with re-writes. Just do the readings and pay attention and you'll be fine. He explains the work the next class after he assigns it to you. This is one of the best teachers I had.

Very smart teacher, knows his work! Gives unexpected quizes, but if you do ur reading you'll be fine. Also gives 2 papers, but you can rewrite them as much as you want, till the end of semester. Also gives 2 finals, which aren't too hard, but you still need to study! HE's one of the best teacher in that field!

As a teacher he's fine. As a person, he's terrible. He makes lude and inappropriate comments in class. If you can deal with that kind of thing, you'll be fine. But, I feel he is very unprofessional.

Cool, funny professor and not boring at all. Very fair graider. Quizes are not a breeze but his tests are very easy. In other words, just listen in class and do the readings and he will take care of you. Definitely the professor for Core 1!!!

Charming and witty, Prof. Benjamin brings the classics to life. The quizzes are easy & not worth much so u can mess a few up. His tests are easy and faithful to the lecture and review sheet. He assigns 2 flexible essay papers which can be revised to seal 50% of your grade. If you keep up with the syllabus you will do great.

He's great, very helpful, human and fun! The quizzes in the morning are always easy--just know the material, do the reading the day before, and you are safe! Great guy, take him if possible!
