Novak and his required readings in social problems at Miracosta college, changed my life and the course of my college career. Until that course, I felt I'd been sleeping or had my eyes closed for my entire life. That was almost 20 years ago, and the fire and clarity that he and his required coursework sparked in me is still exploding. Thank you.

I had Tim Novak at Mira Costa College rather than at State. He definetely knew what he was talking about but do not ever take a four hour class with him. Can anyone say nap time? If you can stay awake you will find that he is extremely intelligent.You will also find that he sticks mostly to Marx instead of thoroughly covering all classical theory.

sociology is suppose to be intresting but with this man teaching this not the case. the class is easy but very boring, he rambles on about nothing and his lectures have no direction and go off into different tangents. a very nice man, just too boring!

He one of the most boring teahers EVER! fell asleep countless times. if you can possibly take soc with anyone else, DO IT! save yourself. hes essays are excessively worded. if you ask him to re-phrase something, he says it the same exact way.
