Tim is a good enough professor, but he chooses favorites and talks down to people--a lot. I believe he has no clue he is doing it, but he always treats every discussion as a debate he must win. So frustrating.

Best FSEM available!!! If you do not take it, you are truly missing out on an amazing opportunity. Great prof with an obvious passion for his job. He goes above and beyond to help with whatever you need, course related or not. Tim is the best prof UMW has in my opinion.

Excellent professor who is really passionate about debates. He is an honest grader if you are a hard worker and willing to show that you appreciate the art of debate. Take this class if you want to improve your skills. No textbook required at all, additionally you attend class for the first 8 weeks, you do work, the last 8 weeks you sit and listen.

Tim is one of the most wonderful professors at Mary Washington. He's one of the few professors I've had who genuinely seem to enjoy what they're teaching and are passionate about their subject, which transfers to students. Argumentation is a lot of work, but totally worth it! Take it if you can!

I love Tim. I loved this class. Tim is very interesting and I learned a lot about public speaking in this class (expected for a course labeled 'Public Speaking'). But this class was so fun and I encourage everyone to take whether you need an SI or not because I'm sure you'll love Tim!

Tim is absolutely wonderful and one of the kindest people I have ever met. Honestly, he's those rare professors you read about, but almost never find. But Tim's it. Take his classes if you want to learn that really matters. And seriously, if you turn a paper in a MONTH late, you DESERVE to fail.

What is there to say about Tim? He is my sun, my moon and my stars. Just think - if more people were like TOD, then maybe the world truly would be a better place. And let's not forget that he bears a striking resemblence to Matthew McCoughnahey.
