Mr. Wrenn has a condescending attitude. Moreover, he takes advantage of his position of authority to broadcast his unprofessional opinions on tangential topics. He may be knowledgeable about his craft, but the cavalier attitude with which he spreads misinformation has absolutely no place in academia.

Idk if its because I took the class online, but it seem very thrown together like he doesnt have a plan Asked for more clarification but received vague answers. Not sure what I am supposed to study because he does not use the book for the second test. Not enough homework/study resources and videos from in class semesters dont correlate to our class

What more can say about him, besides that he is an amazing teacher. Anyone who talks negatively about him can catch these hands. He does goes off the deep end quite often, but it's OK because he's hilarious. If I could've have chosen more than three tags, I would've chosen lecture heavy, graded by few things ,respected, and inspirational.

Tim wants you to do well in life. He'll talk your ear off about anything if you stop by his office. Besides all that, he teaches computer science WELL. He teaches psuedocode better than any other teacher in the intro class (even the U of M!) and breaks C++ down and makes you learn it better than anyone else. Take all of his csci classes.

Very awesome teacher, his class is difficult but worth it. I am in computer networking, and have had a much easier time after taking Tim's computer science class. Very smart at what he does. Test's can be hard, and so are the homework assignments. You get one lab a week, but those usually are not too tough. HIGHLY RECOMMEND IF YOU LIKE COMPUTERS!

Did not give a good impression on the first class. I felt like it was going to be a very long semester. Made the first class very intense. Said that American programmers are lazy. Went on and on about his personal life which I did not want to hear. He is very knowledgeable in the field but I do not think he is a good teacher. NOT Good.

Obtaining my AS degree in CompSci, I took all of Tims classes. He is a fantastic professor; one who cares about the students and the quality of knowledge he is injecting into the field. I love the Hes too hard comment. Is anything easy really worth doing? With Tim you will get a solid foundation to base expand your education career on.

Makes tests way to long and hard. Class average was 50% on a test and he didn't curve it. Takes off whole letter grades on assignments for tiny non critical mistakes. Doesn't have a degree in computer science and yells at students when they do poorly. Only reason I passed was because of previous programming experienc.

Probably one of the best teachers I've ever had. He knows his material and presents it in a way that even introductory students can understand. He is never annoyed if you keep asking for help (I usually had my hand raised in the air at least 7 times a lab), and is very happy to explain anything to you. Take him and you won't be disappointed:)

Knows the field, real world experience. Loves CSCI, quirky humor, eccentric character, does not take criticism well, learned a lot, highly recommend, take the initiative to ask, he does not mess around - turn in work when due or zero. Do not wait until the last day to start homework. Work hard and you will have a solid CSCI foundation.

Professor Wrenn is a good instructor. So long as you put the work in, both in and outside of class, you should be able to get a good grade. I had very little programming experience going in, and I learned a lot. I found the tests to be tough, even when I prepared for them. All in all, a great instructor. I look forward to future classes with him.

He is a great Teacher! He teaches very well, and you learn a lot. Though, do not expect his assignments or tests to be easy, as they are quite difficult. Though, you will leave the computer science program knowing a lot more than kids in other CSCI programs.
