I took a class from Dr. Carter in Fall 1997. Fascinating lectures. Requires a lot of HARD work but is one of those classes you never forget and treasure for YEARS. Very compassionate man. Cares more about his students than you will ever realize!

Dr. Carter is very passionate about his class and is an amazing lecturer! He will teach you a lot and has the biggest curving system I have ever seen (a 69 average on the tests will get you a B in the class overall). He wants you to truly learn the material not just memorize it so his tests can be a little tricky just read and take good notes.

I like Dr. Carter, he lectures REALLY well and you will learn so much! His tests aren't THAT hard if you take good notes, his tests just try to trick you that's all, and he curves everything by a lot. If you're a good student and are willing to read the chapters once and take notes, you'll do fine.

Carter's tests were extremely hard but he does curve if you actually go to class. He is very helpful with any problems you have and will teach you a lot. Curved my grade up 2 letter grades.

This class is very interesting, however Dr.Carters exams are ridiculous. Its not that the material is very challanging, but he could not make the tests any more confusing. Almost every question is a and b, b and c, all of the above, none of the above. Very frustrated after every exam to say the least...

Carter is tough, but a good teacher. Especially for the capstone class his comments and critiques of your paper are necessary to do well. Just fix the mistakes, go to class and you're golden. I had him for juv. delinq. too and yes the test scores are always low, but he curves for people who attend class and do the work!

You need to have tough skin to take this class, because Carter will rip your paper apart in front of the class. He is a nice guy, but isn't always tactful in how he approaches things. He cancels class alot to give you time to work on your paper. I think he is the best professor who teaches this class.

I took Juvenile Delinquency with him, and I do not know how people can do that well in his class. He is funny and does kind of help you in terms of possible test material, but the test ?s are too specific to make any of the test anything close to easy. I know that in my class, our averages on tests and papers were in the D-F range, i.e. not good.

Worst teacher ever. He doesn't teach worth crap, and he's not very smart either. He plays favorites like crazy!! If your name wasn't Kyle, he didn't care, cuz he was too busy sucking on Kyle's balls. Carter sucks!! I hope he dies.
