I loved this class. He is funny and has good stories to tell about his experience in every lecture. There is a four question quiz you take every class, but it comes straight from the lecture. The test question comes straight from the post tests and in class quizzes, which makes it easier to study for. He also gives multiple extra credit options.

TGO is great! His expectations are clear and he truly wants all his students to succeed. As long as you do well on the pre-tests and in class quizzes there is no way you will not 4.0 this course. He tells you exactly what to expect on the exams and there are no surprises. Also offers easy extra credit. He has very good stories and is brilliant!

Easy 4 if you do the reading and come to class. Weekly test online that you can use your book and do with other people. Easy attendance points by answering the four questions during class. Exams are straight from the tests every week and the in class questions. Extra credit if you do SOMA hours. great guy with interesting stories.

He give pre-tests that make up about half of the exam, the exams are cumulative but it makes the final easier! Also he gives extra credit for hpr and you can drop a test. You'll have to try and keep up with the reading.

I signed up for this thinking it sounded interesting but it ended up being incredibly boring. It consists of hour long unhelpful tangents and exams nearly impossible to get an A on. Before each exam I spent a total of at least 20 hours studying and still never got above a 70 on one. He tells you what's "on the exam" and puts everything else on.

Great professor, especially for being in a large lecture, he makes everything very interesting and wants all the students to do well in the class . He has some very funny stories from his practice of being a psychologist, and is very intelligent and knowledgeable on the material. Great teacher, get him if you can!!!!

This professor is great. he always has intresting stories and hes a great prof. the random quizes are really annoying but he gives you tons of breaks and his positive attitude, humor, and great teaching skills certainly make up with it. the omly downside was that his class was at 8:30am but he could still keep me awake. abnormal psych is a must

Goth-Owens was awesome, and he always had interesting personal stories. He did have lots of "pop" quizzes to keep attendence up, but if you're skipping out on your 400-level writing course more than a few times then shame on you anyways. Exams weren't bad, he lets you use 3X5 hand-written note cards. He does expect a lot of you, but it's worth it.

Ridiculous man. Complains incessantly about everything from his wife to the Lansing State Journal. Classes have NOTHING to do with the readings. Has 16 pop quizzes over the semester, so attendance is pretty much mandatory. Exam study is based on giving us an inappropriately large pool of possible questions, of which 30 will be taken.

The class is easy to follow, but he is not clear about what he expects from his students. The exam can totally throw you off because he didn't teach half the information that is on it!
