Comment:

This guy has to be one of the smartest people i have met. But that does not make him a good teacher AT ALL. There is an unbelievable amount of material to learn. Which is fine , but he never gives us key points to review for the tests. So when we receive the test 75% of the test is made up of questions we barely discussed in class. Awful.

Was required to take the class for my major or I would've dropped it during the first week. The tests are sometimes only worth 20 points. He doesn't understand student questions and asks "trick" questions constantly. I would not take him again...

He's super boring, but a really nice guy. The tests are exactly like the practice tests, so as long as you can figure out the practice tests, you'll have no problem. Don't get the textbook.

Absolutely great man, decent professor. Sometimes a lot better 1 on 1 vs in a classroom setting. Quiet, but get to know him and he's one of the nicest professors GCC has. Easy A if you put in minimal work. Show up to class, read the book if you have trouble, and you'll be fine. Tests are just like practice tests.

His tests are different. Sometimes he requites exactly what the slides say for answers, other times you can paraphrase and get full credit. I feel grading is inconsistent, BUT he makes up for it at the end and will curve grades to where he thinks the average student should place.

Very frustrating class. I studied very hard for all the tests, but it is hard to do well since he asks very open-ended questions but is arbitrarily looking for specific answers that only he knows. Project details were also so vague that we didn't know what to do with it. He didn't even tell us the deadline until a week before it was due.

Mech is an awesome guy - believes what he teaches. Lectures are generally pretty boring, but content is straightforward. I'm not a math person AT ALL, but Mech's style of teaching was easy to understand. If you memorize the formulas and know the practice tests, you'll be more than fine. Don't buy the book - never used it once!

maybe the most boring prof at the school. i am sure he is a nice guy, but if you can stand to pay attention, you deserve an A. finance was a really easy class, i didn't buy the book, didn't pay attention in class, and still got an A. he gives you a practice test, just memorize that (don't need to understand anything) and you will do fine.

He is such a nice guy and so fair. He emails everyone with tips for the test and gives practice tests, and the answers to them. His lectures can be dry, but it's finance. He'll also help you in anyway he can.
