Participation isn't marked on attendance, you actually have to contribute to discussion. its a seminar course so lots of readings, but all interesting. Very easy to participate in discussion, loves current events. No tests strictly assignments, but gives amazing feedback when you meet with him or email him. definitely an understanding guy.

Todd is awesome and really knows his stuff. His classes aren't really an 'easy A' as some have put it but if you put the work in, do the readings, and take the assignments seriously you should do well. Todd is great for discussing assignments, he makes himself available and really gives good feedback.

Excellent prof! Lots of readings and discussion, but done in a really effective way. Makes topic really interesting and easy to follow. Good marker and LOTS of feedback, expect a while before you get your assignment back, but at the same time very lenient with deadlines! Great professor!

Todd is a really cool prof and the material is interesting. He seemed a little disorganized this year however (no where near enough course readers, really long waits to get back assignments).

Haters and their haterade need to move aside, this guy's pretty much the best History prof I've ever had. No textbooks, tends to rely on course readers with primary and secondary sources. Extremely intelligent and very knowledgeable.

Unconventional but EXCELLENT. Lectures and tutorials are never boring.Heavy course in terms of detailed lectures and reading material, but his execution style makes it interesting. Exams are hard, they test to make sure you know the readings, so they can be tricky.Essays and writing material are unique and thought provoking, yet demands creativity.

Expects memorization of readings for exams (gives you a direct quote and asks which author said it...impossible) - but a very cool, engaging Prof.

Not enough brains to get a headache. This guy expects you to spew the readings back at him verbatim. Doesn't want you to think because then he may have to.

Todd is awesome! He's really cool, very friendly, and always willing to help. He makes a boring subject interesting! I would take more classes from him. He also has this wonderful habit of extending due dates for essays! Don't bother with the textbook, unless you want to be able to use it as sources for essays, but the course readers are needed.
