Really interesting and smart guy. My class was huge so there wasn't a ton of interaction but he's really nice and he'll direct you to the best place to get help. He can be really funny and if you attend class regularly then he's not afraid to have a little fun with you and joke around.

Easy Class. I didn't go to class once, and made an A. My TA was the shiznit, and her review sessions for the tests were VITAL. Without her review sessions I would have struggled mightly.

Really good teacher. Knows the material and if you go to class you can learn a lot. Notes are also available on the website. He reviews before the tests and if you know that information you should do well on the test. He sometimes throws some random things on the test for the most part, fairly easy.

This class isn't bad. Make sure you go and do all the lab assignments, they are SO easy, just do them! He gives reviews before the tests, just print out the slides and mark what he reviews and you'll be fine. But don't take it TOO lightly because it's not an easy easy A.

Dr. Tom didnt know everything about what he was teaching but it didnt matter. pay attention to hints he gives during class, print slides, and go to review session and you will do well. hes a pretty likeable guy also.

Pretty good teacher...as good as you can be with 300 people in the class and teaching concepts...boring class though and not mandatory attendance so I never went..my TA Erin was awesome though because she had awesome review sessions before every test

This guy is great. I really liked him. Attendance ins't mandatory, but I think you get bonus points if you do go. He goes over review material the class before the test and covers most of it. The rest is always online. Piece of cake. Take it.

Not an easy classs. nOt good teacher. Comes to class un prepared and just rambles alot and in reviews before the test he'll be say things like "oh i never explained that to ya'll? Here let me teach you this real quick so i can put it on the test." Unorganized. not good at explaining. Hard tests. don't take if you can help it

Some topics are tough, but Dr. Tom makes it all pretty easy. He tell you eactly what to know and practice tests are virtually identical to actual tests. If you did well is HS chem, just show up for this class half the time and you will have an A. Even if you made a D in HS chem, go to class plus an hour a week on problems will still get you a A.

This is a tough class, but Dr. Tom makes it more enjoyable. He gives a "practice test" before all three tests and they are pretty much the whole test. I went to see him twice for help and he was great both times. Study the practice tests and you will do fine.

This is the best chemistry teacher at Auburn. I would go to every class but not study until the day before the exams (only studying the practice test and practice questions from the book) and I made an A on every test...SO EASY

If you have to take GenChem1, take Dr. Tom. I was very intimidated about having to take chemistry, and he made it seem so easy and so practical. I made better on his tests that I ever thought I could. Go to class, go to the review session, do the practice test and all the practice problems, and you'll be fine!

Awesome Teacher. He is very helpful. Go to class and take notes and you'll get an A. He has review sessions prior to each test. He basically tells you exactly what to study. He's pretty funny too.

A pretty good teacher. His notes are easy and clear but his tests are pretty hard, which he only gives 3 of, including the final, so they are all pretty much finals and are 25% of your grade. They cover alot of information which makes them hard, but go to the test review and know what he tells you to and you'll do fine.
