I have never had a better English prof! He was so helpful and made the class comfortable and enjoyable! I usually am a little shy when speaking up during class but every single class I found myself expressing my opinion or thoughts! As long as you put effort in you will do good in the class. He doesn't mark easy but he marks reasonably. RECOMMEND!

I completely agree with the two previous comments. Tom was so helpful and his class really makes you improve your understanding of writing as a art form. I loved going to his class, because I learned something interesting every time. It was so evident that he loves English and he loves instructing. And yes, he is quite attractive!

Tom Chase is the best professor that I have had at the U of R. He is well-spoken/concise, open-minded, a fair marker, constructive in his critisms, approachable, charming, and easily engages his students in participating in class discussion. He is also hilarious and his class was really fun! I would strongly recommend him to others.
