Comment:
I took Kin with Tom in 1985 and the advanced course in 1986. It's tough to find a prof with as much enthusiasm and passion for his field as Tom. In 1986, I nominated Tom as the top professor in the Dept. of Phys Ed.... he won it for good reason. Tom's the only prof I ever considered keeping in touch with.

Took the fall online course. Didn't really see him until test dates. If you can get a hold of past tests then you are set! Online portion of notes easy to follow, and lab test is an easy mark.

Amazing prof...no text...read and study the lecture notes carefully...easy marks given for lab assignments...written tests are a bit challenging but if you understand the concepts (go over past exams) you should be fine...he has changed my opinon about this course

I know from personal experience that he won't go out of his way to help his students, so whoever says that he will is not telling the truth! Avoid taking a class with this guy if you can!

Enthusiastic and approachable. Easy, if you learn the notes - no text. Easy marks available in small assignments. Would definitely recommend.

Very amusing prof and managed to hold the classes interest even though the material was difficult. I was a student of his 30 odd years ago, and the fact that I remember him says something. He will be teaching my son next year
