Good professor, great class. He knows his stuff, he's tough, doesn't stand the uninterested or unprepared, assignments are not easy - but they are fair. You just need to work. He's helpful but won't give you the answers or do your work for you. He takes it seriously (poked at me for skipping class when my homework scores dropped). Best A I got.

Best-dressed CS professor. Presents material well. Very tough programming assignment requiring students who have not taken the course CIS-370 (AI) to code QuickSort in LISP or Prolog and asking a University of Cambridge ABD doing research at NJIT to briefly cover LISP in half of a class-period. Obviously only those who have taken CIS-370 completed

I had this guy in 1995 and the pain still lingers. Dropped his class because I just could not stand him. Thinks he's god's gift to CS. If you were a CS genius he loved you but if he didn't like you he would go out of his way to embarrass you every chance he got.

Welcome to CIS 280, where the Visual Basic programmers get a clue about what it means to have a binding time. If you didn't pass the class, you were not meant to be a CompSci major. Tom was hard, but fair. He was like one of those Old Unix Gurus: he smacked you upside the head, because you were looking at the finger and not the moon.
