Obsessed with him!! He is such a goofy guy, probably one of the funniest teachers at Elon. He is very old and his jokes are very dry, so not a lot of people laugh, but he is the man! Tests are mostly written with a few multiple choice at the beginning. Definitely manageable!! Take him!!!!

A lot of class discussion which keeps the class interesting. If you don't like to talk in class, Henricks may not be the professor for you. Tests involve a lot of writing (no multiple choice) but are very straightforward if you keep up with the readings.

GREAT professor!!! he really made the class interesting and it is clear he has a passion for it! he wants to help you and will do everything in his power to make sure you get the help you need. an AMAZING professor. i had no idea what sociology even meant prior to taking this class and i absolutely loved him. take the class. he is so helpful, minimal assignments, do-able tests. trust me, TAKE!!!!

He is amazing. Helped me out even though I didn't have the text books in the beginning. Explains everything. Every note he makes is on the test so you're prepared. Very nice and helpful teacher. I really recommend him.

He is a really nice guy but he is old and sometimes what he says doesn't make much sense. But anyways, he assigns readings- make sure you do them before the test because all of the short answers will be about them. There are only 3 tests and a final (no quizzes)! He assigns random 2-3 page papers roughly once every two weeks. Not bad though

straight forward in that the tests come right from the notes he gives you. also need to summarize passages from the "reader" but if you skimmed you should be fine. lots of readings but the way the class works its ok to fall behind so long as you catch up before the test. tests cover a fair deal of material but are not cumulative.

Dr. Henricks tries really hard to be relatable and somehow that works for him. He's entertaining and really knows what he's talking about and also manages to explain it well. He isn't a fan of taking notes on a laptop, so if you're a super organized person this class might drive you crazy. Overall a great professor!

get out what you put in. If you miss a class you miss lots of notes. Lots of reading, but no big papers. 4 BIG exams, thats it. Has a somewhat entertaining sense of humor. He knows his stuff & you will too if you try. Mixes it up by putting you in groups or showing movies. will go the ENTIRE class, every class. exams are writing intensive.

i would definitely recommend taking this professor. he made class interesting with his dry sense of humor, and i feel like i have learned a lot from him so far. it's helpful to go to class to learn the material, and if you keep up with your reading in both the textbook and the reader then you should do fairly well in the class.

This was my first Soc class, and I liked him so much I took him again for Winter Term! In fact, I'm taking him again later on this semester! So that should say something about him! He's a great guy, funny, and sweet. He is very concerned with each individual student and is very helpful.
