Tom is a very caring person, however his teaching style in lecture / labs could use some work. Lectures consisted of him reading off word documents to fill in the blanks for notes packages. The textbook provided a better explanation of concepts. When asked a question in lecture he was often unable to answer on the spot.

To some extent, Tom is really hard to access after class. He did not update his office hour on his schedule. Besides, his lecture is so boring. Reading lecture notes and textbook was all he did during the lecture. Sometimes, he also get confused by some concepts as an instructor. Graham is much better than Tom.

Fantastic prof and just a really great person. He's really funny and although he needs to work on engaging his class a bit more I really enjoyed every second with him.

The best prof I have ever had. He is the kindest person and really knows his stuff! He needs to engage his class more but I still loved his course!

Tom was by far the worst instructor I have ever had. I believe he has the knowledge to teach this course, however, he clearly lacks the ability to teach. He simply reads off the excel and notes packages with a monotone voice, and never engages the class once. I would strongly recommend reading the textbook and skip the class--complete waste of time

He tends to teach poorly when addressing big groups, and does not know how to effectively use groups to teach. However, he is a good/caring prof who is nice and open to questions. And we see him at Muggs sometimes too which is always great.

I really like Tom as a person; he is so nice & friendly & cheerful. He is so likable! However, his teaching could be a little better. I think his pace was fine, but he didn't explain concepts very well, and both his lectures & labs consisted of a lot of copying off the board. I think if he talked and explained more then I would understand more.

I adore Tom. he is soo nice, so helpful, so funny and kind-hearted. He's adorable!! He listens to feedback, he makes sure he's not going too fast with material, he's amazing. superr nice.

Tom is a nice guy. But not really good at teaching. You can't survive off of the handouts he gives you, so reading the textbook would be better off sometimes. Also doesn't make you attend class if you don't want to. Very laid back and tells you want is on the test.
