I took the class online over the summer. He seems like a nice guy, but he's extremely boring. Papers are incredibly easy to write (and are graded easily), but I noticed that he tends to get a little too specific for my liking on the exams (a lot of names, but this isn't a problem when you have open book online exams).

This class was OK. I took it online, maybe it is better in the live section. It was a pretty easy grade. Dont bother reading the text unless you really want to know about it. He also wears bad shirts, lots of hawian shirts. Not cool. I was thinking about minoring in theatre, but decided not to after taking this, I did not have the time anyway.

Took the class online, and it is VERY easy. Wrote most of my essays in twenty minutes and got an A, and the major papers are far from major and easily graded, also. I didn't have to read the text at all, just the assigned plays and watched lectures, and if you take good notes the tests are a cake walk. Boring lectures, easy class.

Tom may be tough to listen to sometimes, and he may even start to fall asleep while he's teaching his own class, but he's clear as day as to what he wants, and he's by no means a slave driver. If you ask him questions, he does go off onto weird tangents, but he will answer your question fully. Without argument, he knows theater thoroughly.

I really loved the class. He repeated himself every class, so actually going was kind of pointless, but I found Tom to be very approachable and helpful. He's really one of the nicest professors I've ever met.

He may be helpful to some people but not all. Lectures can be very dry, as well as the reading. Tests aren't terrible, but if you miss an assignment, you're basically screwed. I don't care for his teaching style/flexibility at all. Two thumbs way down.

I took this class online and it was great. The lectures aren't too long, but there is a lot of reading. Assignments, quizs, and grading were easy to understand. Really strict on the deadlines, good about getting grades back to you quickly and returning emails just as fast. Has a great T/A.

I had the online version of his course. VERY easy. I did about half the lectures before realizing I could get just a good a grade without them. (They were terribly boring.) The reading isn't bad. Do all the reading before the quiz/test and you'll do fine.

Tom rambled on during this class, mostly about the various books he had co-authored or had some credit in, very seldom did he reach the topic of the class, which was Theatre History, not Mikotwytcz History. He's an absent minded and unorganized pushover.
