I agree he was quite smart and did want to help students. Although I think because he was as smart as he was, he thinks all of his students should be as well. He does not realize that the students are not there to become scientists. The intro course was not so much intro! His dumbed down terms for students are still sometimes to hard to understand

Terrible professor. A Gned class is suppose to be easy and fun but Astronomy was insane. The workload is crazy and this guy asks you to do 4 tough major assignments, tests are hard and you have to by a $150 book. Taking Astronomy with Tomas was one of the biggest mistakes I have made. Take War on Terror or History of war with Adam Lynde instead

Hes a genius and is extremely knowledegable when it comes to science, etc. I was so lost in this class, and he never seemed to be able to help me. He will try but hes not very patient with you and doesn't have too much compassion.
