Terrible, terrible prof. Like an old dog, put him to sleep. Prejudice too. Fun Fact! 10 foot pole if you can. You will regret taking any material from Tom Ray, especially if you are a minority.

Really good prof. There are no posted lectures so you have to go to class or you won't get the material. He writes all his notes on the chalkboard which make them easy to follow. There's plenty of opportunities to get a good mark. Exam was fair, it has been the same for years. There are old exams posted on the course website, use them!

He is a great prof. Very clear with explanations and he brings what he teaches in the exam. He is generally strict and does not like noise making or interruptions while the lecture is going on; this is good because less time is used on questions that can be asked outside class and you sit anywhere with worrying that you will not be can hear him

Lectures can get really long and feel kinda boring at times. I would hate his policy of not using a cell phone in class. Make sure you go to the lectures or else you won't pass. The exam is pretty tough.

Great lectures and his notes covered everything we needed to know. They sometimes felt really long because there's a ton of writing but once you look over them it's not bad at all. I don't understand why people say he's rude, he was more than willing to answer questions in class. Exam also always uses the same format. Take him for this course!

Great prof, knows his stuff and if you study, you WILL do well. His exams have been the same for the past 10 years. Look at previous exams, learn how to do the questions, and it's an easy A. He doesn't tolerate talking or people looking at their phones, so come to learn.

If you have a question and you have a slight accent, be prepared for a bad reaction. He does not seem to like people with accents, which is sad because I was shy to ask question. Stay away from this Prof, I think he was good before at his prime but now he is just a cranky and mean old man.
