Well everyone who hasn't taken him, consider yourself lucky because he is retiring. He definately did not teach the material on the test. You are a genius if you got an A or B on his test. The people below aren't kidding when they say the final is hard... it's INSANE. The midterms were not too bad but the final is insane. There was a fair amount of material on it that he didn't cover in class (or cover thoroughly enough to ask those types of questions). Other than that, he's a good guy.

Class can be dry but the slides are straight forward and the tests are straight from the slides. The midterms are easy, but the final will throw you for a loop, so be ready. All in all though Cherin is a good guy.

Bring a pillow or just stay at home and use the pillow in your bed. He is soooo boring it's ridiculous. There is no point in going to class because he is so boring you won't be able to pay attention. Not that hard of a class, just boring.

Very boring class - the whole semester is one huge powerpoint presentation. Pop quizes are 1/3 your grade so don't miss class. 2 tests - midterm is not too hard. The final is rediculously hard. I got a B+ so he must have used a big curve.

Nice guy, a little off balance at times. The material comes straight from the powerpoint slides. There is a great deal to cover on each of the exams so you will need to study a great deal. If you pay attention you will learn alot though.

VERY BORING. Study the slides and you will do fine. The FINAL was UNBELIEVEABLY HARD, but other than that, class was easy. Never used the text. Bring Coffee, you will need it! His reviews prior to test are AWESOME. Practically detail entire test.
