Easily the best former Econ prof at Waterloo. Econ's loss is the Math Faculty's gain. I don't blame him for leaving after all the politics that go on in Econ.

This guy is really nice, but I found it difficult to pay attention in his lectures. He's very helpful when you approach him, and his assignments are great prep for the exams. WARNING: his assignments are super long and may take DAYS to complete. Overall he is a good prof, and isn't trying to fail his students. This course was never meant to be easy

Prof. Wijanto is simply amazing. He is a brillinat teacher and extremely helpful. As long as you put a reasonable amount of work , grades won't be an issue. I learned a lot attending his lectures and consider myself very lucky to have him as my advisor while pusuing Masters in Economics at Waterloo.

I had GPA of 96% and received the Governor Silver Medal. I took econ 405, 421 and 422 with Wirjanto who was the very best prof ever. He taught the courses at phD level and yet made materials very accessible to us. His notes for 405, 421, 422, 621 are used at PhDl leve at top 20 universities in the US, and worldwide from Helsinki to Saudi Arabia

The best prof ever. This guy is a true genius, makes extremely difficult concepts easy, marks assignments and tests himself and is an all around helpful guy. Always available, even outside office hours, fair and generous marker. Doesn't beat down on students like Mikko Packalen, James Redekop, or Lutz Busch. There is no prof better in Econo
