Take him! He explains concepts fairly well, but you prob should have taken calc in HS. He keeps homework at a minimum (sometimes too little - but he would rather you spend time on your own reading the book and understanding concepts in notes than assigning loads of bookwork). He is funny, personable, and made Calc fun, which is saying a lot.

Albert Torchinsky is the best professor i have ever had. I was awful at math but if you show that you put effort into the class he will help you and make sure you come out with a decent grade. His class is a lot of fun, which is something to say about a calculus class. He also grades on a really high curve.

Math class is not my thing and i wouldn't normally look forward to it, but this professor is fun even when the material is not... if you have questions he'll stay after class to help you. he really wants everyone to succeed, though his material is really hard. getting help never hurts!

A very smart guy and he is really nice. He tries to learn everybody's name in the class and make a personal connection with them. He is not the best of teachers because he goes very fast and his notes are very confusing and messy but I strongly recommend going to his office hours. He also understands student stress and offers to help.

hard to understand him. only does examples the whole time without really explaining them. theres only like 10 test questions so if u miss 1 youre screwed. rarely answers back to your emails, and the oncourse set up is hard to figure out because he puts your grades on there without telling you what it's out of so you can't figure ur grade.
