Literally a waste of time, online class is easy but when he actually grades something its more of criticism than anything else. Super pretentious and kind of a snore, someone obviously didn't get that book deal.

Online lectures. Do the work and you will pass. I recommend pass/failing so you do not have to worry about a grade.

I just really didn't like his class. He lectures for the majority of the class and if you don't stop and interrupt him you won't get your participation. He grades childishly too. Copied down notes verbatim and he was the only core class I ever took and didn't get an A in. Just avoid him trust me.

rip you if you get this guy as a freshman first semester and can't switch out. Terrible lectures, no notes, have to write down whatever he says, 1% of which will actually be on the exams and if you dont get that written down you pretty much fail. I have all A's but escaped this class with a low B because i had to know the most useless stuff.

I wouldn't take this professor again. His work load is tolerable but my issue is his term paper which he gives you so much autonomy for but nonetheless penalizes you heavily for if something is incorrect as per his "standards", especially when the instructions given for it are SO VAGUE and minimal.

I really wouldn't recommend taking him. He's nice and all but he lectures the entire time and then five minutes after, making you run to your next class. His final is very opinionated. Also he will heavily reduce your grade if you don't interrupt his lectures to ask a random question so interrupt him because he'll penalize you if you don't.

1 discussion post per week with 2-3 comments, 8 Essay Exams total and a term paper. Its a manageable online class so long as you read his notes carefully and actually try (he makes his notes fairly easy to understand), and for the most part his notes are sufficient enough to do the work. Easy going professor. Makes a boring subject tolerable.

He's a nice guy who is very clear on what you need to do for his class. Discussion assignment once a week. No papers. A midterm and a final. He's very lecture heavy since it is philosophy so be ready for that. He's better than the other Philo profs for the most part.

He is super lecture heavy. I took him for philosophy 1000 & there was never any discussion. He never lets you out early and always gives homework, but the homework is one discussion post a week and he grades easy. Easy A if you do the bare minimum. Definitely take him, but he is boring.

He lectures, which make the class very long, but the tests are relatively simple if you listen and take notes.

Professor Hamann is pretty cool. This class is pretty lecture heavy and it is extremely easy to zone out. However, if you read the book and keep up with the discussion assignments, you're bound to get an A!

Says participation is major part of grade, yet he talks the entire time and allows zero participation. It is very rare when a student can get a word in. Can you sit and listen to someone use very confusing language and talk for an hour and 25 mins straight? if so, take this class. If you want to save your GPA take someone else or an online class.

A lot of reading, need to stay on top of that bc the final exam includes short answers. Go to class bc his lectures are going to help with final exam but not midterm. Midterm you just need to make sure you did the reading. Discussion Questions each chapter, he drops one but if its late he'll give you a 0. You can either get a 0 or a 10 no inbetween

Overall a good professor, lectures a bit confusing and seem to be a little all over the place. I would take again, but I'd pay a lot more attention and make sure I follow along perfectly.

I enjoyed his class. Not hard to get an A as long as you show up for lectures, take good notes and occasionally ask questions. His lectures can get a bit repetitive, but overall he's very passionate about the subject and challenges you to think. Workload is pretty light. No papers, just weekly discussion assignments. Would take him again.

Lectures were very hard to follow but the ones that I did understand were interesting. Midterm was very hard. If you like reading, you'll do fine in this class but it definitely takes a lot of effort to comprehend the texts. The weekly Blackboard assignments are easy and boost your grade. Known as one of the better Philosophy Professors.

Would NOT take again. This class ruined my straight A's. Only a midterm and final, no curve was given. Weekly posts on blackboard and he is available for office hours. However, many points are taken off on the tests, which does heavily affect your grade. I showed up to every class and always took notes, but didn't do as great.

Took his online ethics class. There is a discussion board assignment and a mini exam (5 questions) every week. Work is manageable.
