She is like a grandma that became a teacher. Super sweet. She knows her stuff. I had her for the WGST 367 and she was ok. Sometimes it felt like we were teaching her. Overall I love her as a person and like her as a teacher. She makes class easy to do well as long as you pay attention and put the work in!

A total sweetheart. Some say she marks hard, but for a Uni-level English class I'd say she is pretty fair. She is very knowledgeable but I'll admit the classes can get boring, participation is only 10% so you can get away with skipping occasionally. Get her or a TA to go over your essays, as it's super beneficial. She's super kind, I loved her

Troni is one of the best profs I've ever had. She truly cares about her students and wants everyone to do well. If you are struggling, ask her for help. She will go out of her way to make sure you pass. This class definitely uses the textbooks and you will have to read a lot. She does pick things that are interesting to read though.

Troni is wonderful. Before taking her class I despised Shakespeare, but she made Shakespeare interesting to me. Lots of assignments and chances to boost your grades. Very supportive of students--always makes office time when you need it!

Lectures jumped all over the place but you could easily tell Troni knew her stuff and was passionate. She was always understanding about extensions and pretty chill with due dates (other than with the term paper). Really knowledgeable but couldn't always convey that knowledge clearly in her lectures.

She gives great lectures. She is invested in your progress in the class. Great feedback. She explains your marks. She is more than will to review essays prior to the due date. She wants you to do well. She is so nice and helpful. I would for sure recommend her to someone else. She gives extra assignments to boost your grade.

A brilliant, sweet woman who genuinely cares for her students, though she can go off on tangents during her lectures. As the department head, she can take a while to get back to you, but is always accessible and incredibly helpful if you need assistance. She can be a tough marker and attendance is necessary to do well.

Lovely woman-- goes above and beyond to help students, which I think counts for more than the fact that her lectures tend to wander. Marks hard but improves your writing skills! She's lots of fun in class, and even more if you participate and speak up, even to ask questions.

Troni is a very nice woman. She is willing to help outside of class, however she was always almost a week late in getting back to me. Her lectures are almost impossible to follow and take notes on. She marks EXTREMELY hard. My grades in her class were 10% lower than other English classes I have taken at the U of R. Do not recommend.

Troni is easily the best professor I have ever had. She marks very fairly and it is clear she wants to see her students do well. She has a big heart and knows her material very thoroughly. Participation in her class is not mandatory though I would recommend it to stay engaged and improve your mark. Take any of her classes, she is amazing!

Troni is such a sweet lady! Her class notes were a little scattered, yes. If you throw out an idea in her class, she somehow weaves it into an answer for the question she asked. Very skilled in analyzing short stories, and knows her stuff when it comes to grammar. Revise your essays a lot, and you'll do well!

Troni is a very sweet professor who will go out of her way to help you succeed. Her notes in class aren't "organized" but she will clarify any questions with students after class. She focuses quite a bit on the grammar part of the class not only reading stories, etc.

Really nice teacher! Talks in depth about meaning of each play. Hard marker, but willing to help you improve your mark. Send her your essay draft before you hand it in and she will edit it for you! Sometimes is a bit scattered in class, but a nice person who really cares about her students. I would recommend her! :)

troni is an awesome teacher. if you are a 1st year and need to take an english, she should be at the top of your list. she is not one of those weeding out profs who trys to scare 1st years into dropping out. i was scared to take english, because i have been out of school for 8 years, but troni really helped me out.

I really enjoyed Troni. She is a very nice woman and her classes are enjoyable. She somehow makes Shakespeare interesting. She marks a little on the tough side, but she is willing to go over drafts of essays with you so if you are willing to put in the effort you will get a good mark.
