A real gem. Supplies all of the material you need to succeed. Encourages students to ask questions. Showing ambition and overall improvement in his courses will definitely help you stand out. Ask questions, get your voice and name heard. I started poorly, then improved significantly, and he rounded my C- to a B. All about your work ethic.

Took this class during a 5-week summer session. Easy class, only worked about 2-3 hours per week. Grades are pretty strict though as each question on every quiz counts as 1 percent of your grade. Actually had to use my textbook. Ended with an 87 but he rounded me up to an A-. 500-word discussion boards every week that are just graded for completion

Professor Yalcin is a very difficult instructor for Professional Ethics - every question of every quiz is a point of your final grade, and the discussion boards, though numerous (there are 10), barely dent it. If you don't pass a quiz, you can expect to drop a letter grade quickly. He is open, often, to negotiation about questions though.

Professor Yalcin is the absolute hardest professor I have ever had. There are only 10 discussion boards and 10 quizzes so there is NO wiggle room. He gives no extra credit and there is no final exam. The dates the assignments are due are all over the place so don't expect to have the same schedule every week.

This class was extremely difficult. I took this to boost my GPA and it did nothing but bring it down. I would NOT recommend this class to anyone. The quizzes are extremely hard and the discussion boards are pretty much essays. The toughest grader and barely any assignments to bring your grade up.

I hope you really listen to these reviews and DO NOT take this class unless you want to lower your GPA. I myself have always really cared about school, and I study for this class ALL the time and understand the material perfectly fine. BUT that doesn't matter because his quizzes try and stump you and confuse you. This class is impossible.

Prof Yalcin's class was very difficult. He spent as much time bashing the authors and the text, spelling and grammar as he did on topic with his written lectures. His grammar and spelling was pretty bad. He was unaproachable and seemed bothred when I asked questions. This is my first C, so if you care about your GPA- take another class.

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS!! By far the hardest class that I have taken so far. I am taking it online, the only grades are discussion boards which must be 500+ words, and weekly 10 pt quizzes. The quizzes are near impossible to do well on, the class average is usually a 5 or 6/10. Each point missed off a quiz is a point lower on your final grade.

Hardest class I've taken so far. I took this online over the summer. There is one DB post each week and it must be 500+ words & graded heavily to make sure you thoroughly understand. The quizzes are very hard and graded hard. If you get 5/10, the highest grade in the class you can get is a 95. Each wrong answer equals a point off your final grade.

Never take this class with him as your professor. I took this class online over the summer and he was no help at all when I emailed him trying to better understand the readings. He is very rude to the students and no help at all. Save yourself the stress and from having to deal with this man.

Lowest grade i've ever gotten in a class. I never knew an online professor could be so rude and difficult. Not helpful at all and doesn't really seem to care about his students' grades. I would not recommend.

I took this class online. The grading is tough, each question you miss off of a quiz is a point off of your grade. He assigns a final paper that is rather difficult to do. I STRONGLY recommend taking someone else if you care at all about your GPA.

This class was very confusing, but if you follow his EXACT instructions you will get a good grade. Answer in the discussion boards and do well on the quizzes. There are no exams but a paper that is worth 35% of your grade, you have to do well on the paper! You need the book to do the assignments.

You will write a lot in this class. It is mostly opinions so you will not have to do a lot of research.

Great professor but boring lectures. You'll write a 500 word forum each week and 3 major projects that are easy if you follow instructions. Do what he tells you, and you'll get an A. You only need the book for the projects. Read the lectures and write forums about it. I got an A. Easy class and helpful professor. Not for lazy people ;o)

I had Yalcin last semester online. Quite a bit of work for an online class. Only used the book for the papers. Most of the work is based on opinion, so it's not too difficult.Somewhat helpful in feedback. Just follow his instructions EXACTLY and you should do fine. I never listened to/read lectures, or read book and still got an A.

Follow the directions and you should do fine. That said this class is awful. Be prepared to write and to be taught what is right and wrong. This is definitely the most demanding online class I've taken so far and it was ethics which made it even worse. Seems like this guy could be mean or hard to deal with. Just follow his instructions exactly.

This class was completely pointless, the book is horrible, & Yalcin is the rudest most arrogant professor I have ever had. DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS. He should be fired by the university, the book should be burned, and this class should be dropped all together. It's a space filler class and I learned absolutely nothing I didn't know already.
