I have long since graduated from the UofA and am now completing medical school, but I will never forget Vaclav Zizler. Absolutely hilarious in his own way and he does an excellent job preparing you for his exams. No surprises if you do the assignments. Take one of his classes if you get the chance.

Don't worry about the accent - you don't need to understand him (though I could just fine), just do the assignments and you'll ace the exams. Zizler was so cute and funny! That beard! That purple puffy coat! That accent! He's pure comedic gold. If you have enough work ethic to do the assignments, take this class with him to be entertained.

Zizler is a good prof. He is clear about what is going to be on the exams and even helps you out with tricky assignment questions. The only small problem was that sometimes you can't understand his English very well. Before exams, he gives you a review sheet (which he goes over in class) and the exam is modelled after the review.

Oh my lord... 60 ratings. This is guy do be popular. If your in a large lecture theatre, you may have trouble understanding him, but if you're in a smaller room, he's awesome! "Eez trap!"

This guy is the best prof you could ever have! He won't you make you learn extra stuff that you don't have to. If you do the practice problems for the exams (and understand them) you will do very well. If you don't understand something, go talk to him... he is really helpful.

I took math 31 before taking this course, so that might effect my opinion of him a bit. In class examples are representative of assignment/exam questions. Easy midterm/final. Very helpful and replies quickly to questions sent through e-mail.

Excellent prof...very intelligent, explained things well and in detail. I had little difficulty with his class, probably because of HS calculus class. The fact that I cut the last half of my classes because I was bored was only because I had done it all already.

got a kick out of him because he's hilarious. if i hadn't taken calculus before i would have been lost, but he definitely prepares you well for the exams. learn how to do the sample exams and you're well on your way to an A!
