Do HW, study, and show up to class. she is very clear with lectures and she is always willing to help you one on one. she cares about her students. whatever she handouts in class is what will be in the quiz & test, no surprise. she reviews before a test and gives examples and tells you what to expect. definitely i will take her if i need it.

Comment:

She explains the material really well. Always there an hour early before class in case anyone needs help. Very accessible and really cares about her students. You have to work really hard for your grade, but she drops a test and two quizzes if you turn in your homework. I would take her again!

She is amazing and I would take her again. She doesnt collect the hw but as long as you do it you should be good for the tests and quizzes. She never puts anything on the test that she didnt go over in class. If youre not absent more than 4 times then she will drop your lowest quiz and test.

Comment:

Shes the best math instructor Ive ever had. Not a lot of people have the gift to teach math, but Goldberg has quite the talent. I never done so good in a math class before. Also, I found the love of my life in her class circa spring 2013 lol. So this memory of her class I hold dear to me. I really recommend her if math doesnt come easy to you.

I took her class a little more than a year ago. She was great and the class was fairly easy. People who complain about her being a tough grader don't appreciate the process of mathematics. Math is not a game where you simply make it to the finish line; you must show your thinking. That is math. Do this easy step, and you will pass her class.

She is a really good teacher she explains really good , she gives examples if you ask she will explain again corrects quizes with the class. She is a really good teacher if you dont understand math she will help you understand it. When i got there i didnt know anything now im really good. Take her she is the best and really nice

The professor is excellent at teaching this course. I took it as a Fast Track class combining Math 45 and Math 60 in one semester so each course was 8 weeks long. During fast track I will say there is a lot of homework to be done and it helps you do better on the quizzes and exams. Overall, I recommend this to anyone that wants to be done fast.

Comment:

Knows her stuff and gives clear, easy to understand lectures. What I liked the most was that she would use handouts and the textbook rather than mathxl. She is very helpful and caring. I took her fast track class and was able to get a B+, if you're taking her class in a regular semester, then you'll most definitely pass with the extra time.

I have taken her twice, she is really nice but she is a real tough grader. She doesn't care about you getting the right answer, only the process of getting an answer and she takes off points for any small mistake which is why it's becoming difficult to pass the class. She will help you if you reach out for her. I recommend doing the hw.

Professor Goldberg she seems to have good ratings. They are misleading however; she is an extremely harsh grader, one small mistake-minus 10pts. I withdrew since I saw it was impossible to get an A. She gave a printout of all the students grades and I saw the majority were Fs, Ds, mostly Cs and only a few Bs which were low Bs, 82 was the highest.

Do not take her class unless you can get calculus in 50 min. Quiz every week. It takes a lot of time and tutoring, good professor but her class should be longer, does not give an actual lecture is all based on text homework and questions for the next day. Be careful hard course although she is a good professor.

She is a very good teacher and very organized. The problem is that unless you get math really easily it might be a challenge since her class is only 50 minutes. There isn't a lot you can do in that short period of time.

TG is very helpful and actually cares. She makes the material easy to understand as long as you are willing to learn which means you must do the homework and seek help if you need it outside of class. MESA and Math center helped me polish up before class on test and quiz days. This is what a math class should be. No quirky nuanced prof. Just math.

I have to say Professor Goldberg is one of the best professors on campus. Although she is not easy, she is fair and as long as you do your hw and study for quizzes and tests you are good to go. Also, don't fall behind on hw, that mistake could cost you your grade. She collects a packet of hw on certain days. Take her, you won't regret it!

An excellent, well-organized teacher that does a great job of explaining how to solve the problems. I recommend her if you really want to learn the material. Not an easy A, you'll have to earn that. Completing the homework will give you plenty of practice and is 10% of your grade. About 20% of the class had an A going into the final.

I hate math but Prof.Goldberg changed that during the semester, it is a privilege to take her class, especially if you don't like math. She's more focused on you understanding the problem/concepts rather than the answer. TAKE HER, SHE WILL CHANGE YOUR PERSPECTIVE ON MATH AND SHE GRADES BASED ON PROCESS NOT ANSWER. (took fast track)
