Comment:

There was honestly SO much hw that I felt like was just busy work. I was taking 4 other classes and the lengthy assignments just overwhelmed me. The overwhelming assignments were unnecessary, and unless you enjoy hours of homework every week I wouldn't reccomend this teacher. I heard other teachers of bus 103 barely had hw.

Comment:

I took this course online and had two homework assignments and one quiz every week, sometimes more. She offered plenty of extra credit and I was able to thoroughly pad my grade which came in handy because there is only one comprehensive final test worth 300 points. This class is an easy "A" with a lot of common sense material. Highly recommended.

Comment:

Makes you take quizzes worth a large part of your grade BEFORE lecturing over it. Then lectures over the material you already were quizzed over and forces you to stay or you get a 0 on the quiz. Not descriptive when it comes to any rubrics and grades harshly on irrelevant issues. I have never hated a business class until now. Very disappointing.

She is a person who really cares about her students. Her lectures are easy to follow and she says if you don't understand it to get help immediately so you don't get behind in your work. She grades a little tough but gives feedback on what you did wrong

Material in the class is not hard, yet teacher will make it as tedious and homework loaded as possible. When asked for help, expect a smug look. Grades attendance and values homework over tests. Harsh grader and makes you work in groups. If you have OCD and have major free time take her course. Not understanding and lacks empathy.

Don't take her tags I selected the wrong way! She is a VERY GOOD TEACHER! By far one of the best professors that I've ever had. Her quizzes are random- however they're all based on the readings that are assigned so it's not like you don't know what to read- Attendance is taken daily so her class is not one to skip- But you will get A LOT out class!

Worst teach I have had yet; she doesn't explain the assignments very well when you need additional help; she leaves you clueless when you try to dig for more help from her: her " snooty blah" face makes you feel intimidated; she doesn't care about you as a student: I would never take a class with her again. I changed my major because of her class.

Very helpful and knowledgeable, but I found myself frustrated time and again by the ridiculous amounts of extraneous homework, some of which was counter-intuitive to any sort of learning style. I Aced this class at a previously attended university (credit didn't transfer), but still found myself mired in hour upon hour of confusing assignments.

Try to avoid this class from Mrs Jones. I like her a lot as a person but as a teacher she is very hard core for a 101 class with lots of HW and she's so strict! Not an easy going class at all whatsoever. Nice lady, but not a great class at all. There's no leeway even if you forget an assignment.

She is a very good teacher. Her expectations are clear, show up, do the work. She is very good at posting grades, which is nice. Her tests are easy if you use the chapter outlines she provides. I read many comments about life happens outside of class. Grow up! If you cant show up for a 80 minute class how do you expect to ever hold a job?

GREAT teacher! She is very clear as to what she expects you to do for a project. The chapter outlines are very helpful if you do them. She makes class interesting and never boring unlike some teachers. Very highly recommend Valerie for BUS 103 and BUS 105

Easy A if you do the chapter outlines and do decent on the stock market project. Most of the answers to the tests are on the outlines. She drops your lowest test score and gives you one "no questions asked" late homework coupon, which you may use for 10 points extra credit if you don't use it.
