Prof. Pennington (Penguin Prof) is the best in this field. This was an online course with a free textbook (thanks!). Not an easy A but if you study and do all the work you should pass. She has a lot of YouTube vids, make sure you watch them as she gets a lot of info from them for the tests. She has a lot of online tools for questions and feedback.

Comment:

No matter what your learning style is, you can learn if you do the work. Between texts books (one of which was free, huge plus), several video's in each unit, lectures, and labs, if you put in the time, you will do fine. She shares her own life experiences with her students which makes her very personable.

She makes class very interesting! She's very nice, funny and helpfull. Definitely makes anatomy easier than expected. Doesn't take attendence, but if you miss a class you will be lost.

If you have no interest in Biology or struggle with the subject, do not take her online. I would prefer you attend class in person. She does not give a big extra credit opportunity to redeem your self. So basically what you get is what you get. The test are challenging and timed. You cannot go back to questions you want to skip. A lot of studying.

I took Mrs. Pennington's lab class which was pretty easy. It was only once a week and every class meet there was a quiz. She drops two of your lowest quiz scores at the end of the semester. Her labs were easy as well. She's a very jolly professor and will not bore you. Take her class, I highly recommend it.

Ms.P is awesome!! I thought Physiology was going to be difficult, but she made it very interesting and easy to grasp with her enthusiasm and knowledge of the subject.Also, if you do not understand something she will definately help you.I miss her class!

I did not stay for the entire semester due to a change of major, but she is the most fun, compassionate, and inspirational professor that I have ever had the privilege of taking a class with. Lab at 8 AM was bearable with her fun personality in the air. :)

First of all, I am a nursing major. I love science, but having this class with her almost made me change my major. She goes off topic a lot and always missing class. Her lectures got me tired and lazy! It wasn't even about learning anymore is was always constant stories of her personal life. Use the handouts if you want to learn something.

Great teacher and person! She made the hardest course I have ever taken one of my favorites because of her enthusiasm. The study guides help, but it is essential to read the book to get the full understanding of the abstract concepts of physio. And everytime you see a penguin, you wil think of her!
