Dr. Maxwell is brilliant and wonderful. He also took a lot of time with me to get me through some general problems I was having in school. Any of the criticisms up on this board are from people who were not willing to work for their mark. I miss his presence in the department.

Maxwell assumes that you know his vocabulary, and may pick on you in class, but if you are interested in philosophy don't give up on him. He's very intelligent and in my opinion deserves more respect than he may be given.

Hey, I took Descartes with him and Ancient - if you didn't do the readings you got what you deserve, ie., a public display of your laziness. The man is brilliant and passionate. He wants you to read because you need to in order to learn. simple.

Although he is intelligent his attitude and lack of teaching ability makes him intolerable.The man is absolutely one of the most ignorant person I have ever met. He is very confusing, so bold and rude. He is not very understanding.His classes are painful.
