Run for your life. This woman is not clear and change like a chameleon. The students don't have a clue b/c she don't have a clue. DO NOT TAKE HER. She is hung up on herself and will belittle ppl for asking a question. You'd think this Eng class was journalism. She doesn't prepare her students and have to many double standards. VERY POOR INSTRUCTOR.

I have had nothing but a positive experience with this teacher. There is this great group project that she has all of her students complete; it taught me alot about myself and the world around me. Please take her--you will not regret it!

I took a compositionII class at a different college with her. She is energetic and enthusiastic when she teaches. She is not clear about her assignments up front. If you ask her for help, she will clarify certain assignment details that may be a unclear.

DO NOT TAKE HER! She is unclear, changes her mind from day to day, and grades on whether she likes you or not. I worked my butt off and got a freaken C+. I thought I was taking English and she is teaching Journalism. She belittles you when you are unclear, but she changes her mind all the time.

Ms. Holmes is rediculous! She is very unclear about giving directions about assignments, and when a person asks for clarification, she belittles you. Ms. Holmes seems very into herself and too inexperienced and unprofessional to be teaching at Delta. She and this class are the worst experiences

I thought I was taking an English class but come to find out it was more like a journalism class. She favored students and if you wern't one of them, well you failed basically. Terrible teacher. Very hard grader, and you can't have your own opinion with her, becuase she is always right!

Very easy class, a little too easy at times. I felt like I was treated like a 4th grader, having to take turns reading paragraphs out of a book. She can be an unfair grader at times. However, she is very laid back, easy to talk to, and teaches with enthusiasm which makes the class intersting and fun

Had her for English 111...got into arguments with her regarding my writing...Basically, if you don't agree with her opinion on something, you're wrong and you'll get a bad grade. I received a B from her. Took English 112 Honors the next semester, received an A. That should sum it up.

I think that she is very unclear about EVERYTHING I put a paper in the "Wrong pile" and was told to guess what I got on it to figure out my grade...I have no idea what to grade myself!! her writing is worse then mine! NOT AN ENGLISH TEACHER! Easy, but didn't learn anything in 2 1/2 hours a week!

Horrible teacher would not recommend to anyone. She grades the papers very hard and does not explain what is wrong with them very well. Do not take her class if at all possible.
