Dr. V.D. is one of the worst. She contradicts her own information day to day, but holds students accountable and denies any of her own mistakes (I audio recorded for reviewing, so I'm 100% she is full of BS). She made fun of students for personal characteristics and laughed in their faces. I filed an official complaint, unfortunately she remains.

If you go to class & pay attention, take your own notes, and do extra credit (there are many extra credit opportunities) you should get an A or an A- at the very least. Take your laptop because she goes very fast, but she repeats herself. She makes the material interesting, and she is hilarious! One of my favorite professors at PSU

Dr. D is hilarious! Her exams can be difficult because they involve lots of essays but they are not too bad. Show up to class to get the extra credit assignments, you will need them to get a good grade in the class! Bring your laptop to class, it is impossible to take notes without one because she talks so fast!

She is very interesting as a person and as a professor. The class is entertaining but is a bit fast pace but if you need something repeated then just ask. She has an accent so pay attention. She is very helpful if you take the time to go to her office and talk to her.

Need to go to class and really pay attention! If you take good notes the book is unnecessary besides a few extra readings. But she has loaner ones to give out. She is a very nice lady who really wants you to do good. Plus LOTS of extra credit! I had over 30 extra credit points from just writing really easy one page paper!

Dr. D is extremely knowledgable and up to date on her current events. She loves to use examples of worldy events to explain sociology, so brush up on your current events too. Her exams are hard but fair. Her accent is hard to understand at first but you get used to it. She makes jokes in class and keeps things interesting. Gives extra credit too.

Dr D was an experience. She tells you from the getgo that the class requires a lot of work and it definitely does. However, if you attend class, take her notes, do the bonus essays given in class and study hard for her exams, you will practically be guaranteed an A. Also, stopping by her office hours is a great idea, it could benefit your grade.

Dr. D., was an ok professor at first; until she called me out one day after class about being late. I have done all the extra credits and have attended all my class, and still I received an average grade. NOT cool. She shows favoritism.

She genuinely cares about the subject which is helpful but her accent and lesson plans make the class very hard somedays. Go to class, TAKE NOTES, nearly diregard the book. Take her if you want to learn a lot of important info, but be ready to study before exams and go to class!

Dr. D is...interesting. The key is to go to class. keep your notes ORGANIZED. Make notecards. Do all the little papers - they help A LOT. The class takes work but the extra credits will save you. Dont let all these ratings scare you. I got an A, its not impossible

This class is demanding as far as note taking and exams, however, there are many extra credit opportunities. Going to class and taking A TON of notes is important, but Dr. D is a very funny instructor, her examples are usually memorable because her stories are so hilarious or unique.

There are tons of opportunities for extra credit & a lot of easy worksheet assignments. If you are struggling GO SEE HER, she is more than willing to help you.

This class is really easy- the exams are not that tough at all as long as you study from the notes. There is so much extra credit it's ridiculous- but awesome. She also boosts your grade if your 2 points away from a higher letter grade. Just take really good notes and you'll be fine!

Textbook not needed. 3 tests (2 half multiple choice and half essay) and the final is all multiple choice. Lots of extra credit opportunities. Attend class as much as possible and take good notes. She can talk fast and has a strong accent but is always willing to repeat anything. She made the class very interesting.

Worst teacher I have ever had!!!! I hated going to her class it was terrible. She writes extremely long tests that you can barely finish and doesn't teach you anything. She takes an out dated and boring topic and makes it more boring! DON'T TAKE TIS CLASS IF YOU DON'T HAVE TO!

Dr. D is the best teacher, incredibly knowledgeable, very kind, loves her students. material is not easy and there is is a lot of notes, which can be boring. Exams are fair, you must study. If you go to class, you receive extra credit essays (I received 35 extra points), she also helps boost grades

Dr. D is awesome. There is a lot of material to go over and remember, but she offers so many opportunities to improve your grade and wants each student to do their best. I found rewriting my notes every day after class REALLY helped and I got A's on all my exams. 2 point extra credit assignments add up so do them! And go to class!
