Worst professor I had during my years at Case. Unclear lectures, poor attitude, inane memorization of proofs required for quizzes. The only relevant part of the class was the homework, which was from the book but is never turned in/checked/reviewed. Lectures, quizzes, and tests all focused on the memorization of proofs and nothing more. AVOID!

I had a very unfavourable class experience with him. He did not use the book at all other than for HW problems and did not explain any of the necessary math for the class whatsoever. He stuck strictly to explaining simple concepts and proofs in excruciating detail. I would not recommend taking this class with him unless you already know vector calc

A great learning atmosphere. I could ask all questions I had and get really clarifying answers. What impressed me was the professor's ability -and patience- to answer a question from different points of view making sure the student clearly undersood what is going on.

Terrible teacher, even worse person. Don't look at his teacher evaluations on the registrars site, he is known to forge them as I have experienced this (I know 10 of us who gave him the worst rating possible yet misteriously, he has 98% of the class saying he's excellent.)He gave a 2.5 hour midterm

hands-down worst professor ever. to give an idea, by the end of the course we had reached chapter 5 (about halfway through) the statics book, and any other prof. teaching 200 will finish the statics book and get well into the strength of materials book.

Good theory as to why he teaches the way he does, but horrible job carrying it out. Way too theoretical (proofs, etc.) rather than mathematical (actually working with numbers). Intellectually arrogant.
