he sucks as a teacher.he is disorganized, and rigid with his teaching.I asked him to change his notes or lecture to better fit numerous learning styles and he said no.He made me miserable and hate history even more than i did.He talks like hes from the revolutionary war. Ill give it too him though, he is SO intelligent. but he sucks as a teacher

this class was beyond hard, but the Benjamin is also a genius. He knows anything and absolutely everything about the Hudson Valley. You definitely need to study, and take good notes.-He provides outlines, but I'd add to them. He is a really nice guy, the class is really interesing, but it definitely is a challenge.

Nice guy, but one of the worst teachers I have had. The notes were impossible to remember. He gives two question quizzes that are impossible to do well on, and gives random grades. The final was 9 essay questions, absolutely ridiculous. Avoid this professor if you can.

He's the worst teacher I've had at Marist. It's very difficult to understand how bad a teacher can be until you take him. He's tactics are absolutely appalling

Stay far away!! Most boring class with the most boring professor. I learned nothing, which is a shame cause I actually though it might be an interesting class. Just talks the entire time, gives impossible quizzes and tests. The only thing that saved me was the oral presentation and the small papers assigned. Would not recommend!

Each morning when i wake up and realize im getting a dosage of the Vern at 8am my life could not be more fulfilling. if you do not experience the VERN your life cannot be satisfied. when you're feeling sad just grab an extra dosage of the Vern. he helps the medicine go down. Take this class over anything else offered at Marist or you will be leadin

I really enjoyed this class, it was pretty interesting if you took the time to just listen. Yes, he does talk the whole period which is hard at first to cope with, but it's really not that bad. The papers and quizzes aren't bad if you review your notes the night before and actually try. He's a good guy...this class just might not be for everyone.

This teacher has no taaching skills. All he does is lecture the whole time and tell long stories about history. His quizzes only have two questions which makes your chances of passing harder. He talks so fast that theres no time to write good notes. I'm left wondering: where did they find this guy?"
