Comment:

Strict Professor. Lectures are optional and monotone. You can get by with the textbook. The labs are a different beast. Late for lab and you'll get booted out. Exams are extremely hard, especially the lab exams, and majority of your grade is from exams but he gives HUGE curves. Study and you'll do fine. Take only if you're looking for a challenge

Comment:

An incredibly smart individual who is really passionate about the subject of physics. Graduated from Harvard, flew around the world to study and perform in research and ultimately writing textbooks. Putting in 150% effort for A-. The lectures are boring, but necessary. Went to him during office hours for help, was very helpful. Lots of information!

Don't take! Really tough class. His lectures are so boring and you won't learn anything from them; I used youtube, the textbook as well as prior knowledge to get through this class. Tests on specific stuff and you'll need to do arithmetic and precalc in the class as well. Don't go to the lectures, they're a waste of time, does not take attendance.

In one word, this professor was HORRIBLE. Took his class for a core requirement and my goodness it was dull. If you're 10 minutes late to a lab, he'll kick you out and mark you absent, which will affect your grade. His lectures are completely monotone.

i personally liked him. he is very fair, generous, and nice if u just follow the directions he wants. ie: write what ure supposed to for the cover sheet of the lab report, be on time to lab, and dont leave the lab equipment on when u leave the lab. he also knows his stuff very well so if u have questions during lab, he can be good help :)

I've only had him for half a semester so far but he's okay I guess. I never know what's going on in lab and still get good lab grades, and he gives really big curves! However, he's an old man and there's no point of going to his lectures because he just repeats the textbook in a super monotonous voice. Read the text and you should be fine!

He is a very hard professor, work is very precised. He does not encourage his students he is very rude. His voice is very monotone. That means you will be engaged in the lecture only for a little while then you will catch yourself drifting off to sleep. Overall I do not recommend anybody to take him. Only good thing about him is his curves.

Oh~~~Gees!!!I did a lot by myself!!! He would tell a lot, but most of these are much harder than the textbook~~~ For the physic student(Majoy)is OK, but for us just for CC class, too hard!!!I thank you my high school teach told me a lot and I still remember those; otherwise, maybe I just could get the C.

I did well in this class and I think that he could be one of the worst and uncaring professors I have ever had.The labs are not hard but his rules are unfair. tests are graded like the SATS, so called "extra credit" is actually madantory and only worth .5 of a point. no makeup exams and he doesnt care about the students at all.

TRUST ME, HE IS A LOT BETTER THAN PREVIOUS RATINGS MAKE HIM OUT TO BE. PREVIOUS RATERS PROBABLY DID NOT PUT IN EFFORT AND SO THEY DID POORLY. He is very good and interesting and overall a solid lecture giver. As for labs, he grades generously, but does waste time explaining how to do the lab. Overall solid guy, likes to give 40 point curves!!

Mechanics is the hardest course in BC. His pluses are that he gives clear lectures, notes, and curves the grades. On the negative side, each homework takes 10 hours literaly, while the exams are harder than the homework= extremely hard. All I did was tried my best and somehow didn't fail.

All i can say is IM glad i finished him and physics. I had to Pass/ Fail him. luckily there was 50 point curve the first test or i would of failed. Hes is exteremly boring and thinks everyone knows as much physics that he does. Stay Clear of him. BTW HE dont comb his hair.

The worst professor I have ever taken. He is so damn boring. If the class had a window I would have jumped. I did not understand****, and he did not care. I have to pay for extra tutoring just to pass. Jut awful. Really really awful. If I had know before I would have waited to take the class with some one else. Good Luck if you take him.
